nah. he had to haul it in with one hand he was almost fully extended and reached behind him. one of the best and most important plays of the entire season.
he is going to blow in the NFL if he tries anything but line everyone is to fast and to strong for him he looks good in college but in the NFL but think of the average LB they are around 255 and a hell of alot stronger so he'll get the shit knock out of him if he tries running everyone over
you know i find all of this very funny.... the majority of all of you don't even know him.he's big..ok say something new im sure if you was in his face u wouldn't be saying none of this. But keep saying all of this bullshit it only inspires him; how do i know? because im his sister
nope i don't play defense anyways but i sure as well would never be caught by his fatass, in fact if i were going heads up with him i'd let him run by and just catch up to how's that?
Alright Reggie wannabe Bush. O yea he is more like Jerome Bettis than Earl Campbell in style and power but who is college and national football teams are really looking for a flashy back or a power back or a mix of both you tell me.
You see a lot more flashy backs getting drafted than fatasses and even so Jerome Bettis wasn't even that fat when he was in college he gained weight as he got older and started to balloon like his last 4-5 years with the steelers. The fact is he isn't even the best running back on the aggies and won't get drafted higher than the 4th round. At best he'll be a fullback in the NFL
Who cares if they got drafted? What happens afterwards is what's important.
Although a lot of flashy backs are successful, they also turn out to be the biggest busts, usuallly. (And heck, if Reggie Bush doesn't start making those big plays you saw in college, HE'LL be the RB on top of the list of pro busts.)
Uh you have to get drafted and signed to play in the league... getting drafted is a big part. If you don't make it into the NFL, what's else is there?
And maybe they do turn out to be the biggest busts, which I disagree with, but how many RBs the size of Lane, besides Jerome Bettis, that actually started in the NFL? I sure as hell can't name another 260lb+ RB.
Maybe no other 260 pounders, granted, but there are/ were plenty of big backs in the NFL. Marshawn Lynch, Duce Staley (Not a great example, but still, he DID start for a bit), Earl Campbell, Mike Alstott (A fullback, but he was still pretty big), and of course, Jerome Bettis, among others.
All the guys you just named are about 40lbs or more lighter and a whole lot faster then him. Certainly they were power backs but nothing like Lane in comparison.
I don't disagree. I've said that from the beginning. He'll be a fullback. He's playing fullback this year, actually. He got switched after the end of last season.
True enough, plus, now Jorvorskie won't run out of gas as fast as he did at tailback, for one thing, and he's going to be a pretty dominant lead blocker, with all those pounds on him, so at least TA&M has a proven running game this year.
Heck, if the team has a good enough O-line, he could easily fit into most schemes as a fullback, or 3rd down RB. He just doesn't have the speed to be a tailback. However, he CAN block pretty well (He's a big man, so he'd better be a good blocker), he's especially fast for his size, and he's a pain to tackle, so he'd be put to good use at 4th and 1 (What TAm&M coaches might call 20/20 hindsight, maybe?).
And I doubt he'll be a 3rd Down RB... the league is moving to faster, quicker, receiving backs as 3rd Down Backs as I said before IF he makes it to the NFL it will be as a FB if anything.

Strap a load of protective padding on me and I'll take whatever you American pussies can throw at me! What a flimsy excuse for a sport. (Better than baseball though)
Most of them wear no padding other than their helmet (the shoulder pads, generally, are nothing more than about 1/4 inch of foam). Add that to the fact that there is a rest time between each play, allowing them to regain their energy so they can do the next play at FULL SPEED, and I would say it's nothing short of brutal. Oh, and I should also mention that our athletes are bigger, stronger and faster.
I think you mean fatter not faster. Put a rugby squad up against those guys and they'd pound them into oblivion. And the rugby players have no protective gear on.
Back when McGee was good? Well, he's certainly earned the #3 QB spot on the Cowboys.

Hmmm, I didn't know they moved him.. I always liked watching Goodson at least now he'll get the majority of the carries.

The man is 285lbs he has a better shot of playing guard then RB in the NFL.
