I don't get the whole explorer part of the vid. What does that do exactly when you make a backup, and and a new one? Other than that. I have a theme that I like that I downloaded.

No restart... Just go to task manager, end explorer.exe process and run it again on file>run by typing in explorer.exe Thumbs up if it worked and it saves 1 min from you life!

@VAGELIS199 Boot it in safe mode with internet from the boot menu. When you're in there go to system restore and select one before the install, when it finishes, restart, boot normally. Should be all fixed

Yes you can, just replace the explorer.exe. a batch file for that would look kinda like @echo off taskkill explorer.exe ren C:\Windows\explorer.exe explorer.old copy -b C:\explorer.exe C:\Windows\ start explorer

PCWizKid, you do not need to reboot to change the explorer.

Go in to the taskmanager, click the process tab and end the process explorer[dot]exe and then go back to the applications tab and click new task and write explorer[dot]exe.

I love the Skull theme, (I've had it before seeing this video), and I'm using the modified Start Orb also. A much easier way to change the Start Orb is an application called W7 Start Orb Changer. You can find it on Deviantart, and no reboot is required.

Okay so I installed the Skull theme and opened it, it seemed to work fine. I changed the windows start icon and in the instructions it said i had to restart the pc after doing it. I restarted it and now after the "Windows Is Starting up" and login nothing happened.... I could see the cursor but nothing else, i could move it...

I pressed CTRL+ALT+DELETE and checked the processes.. the process "Explorer" was not there. HELP!

@DorKaschpor Yes it is possible, you need a program called Windows Style Builder i beleive. You will also need to have a graphics manipulation program (photoshop) and something like resource hacker/restorator
