actually, they are saying "MY God." I used to be fluent in French and I always thought the chorus said, "They do not know my God." "I'll n'est par connait mon Dieu." Maybe it's just my hearing. PARLE sounds a lot like par. My mistake! But they ARE saying MY God. Not THE God.
