U wouldn't happen 2have Borso singing Celeste Aida? He's 'nother Melocchi tenor that I like. I'd love 2C more of him:) Anything! He's an amazing Spinto/Dramatic! Actually, the 1 I've been lookin' 4 4quite some time now is any live video of my 2nd favorite tenor of all time: Flaviano Labo:) I know there's a live Tosca from Japan w/him & Kabaivanska I think on 9/24/73! I've just never seen him "live!" Daniele Barioni would B great too. He also has no live video I've seen:( Hey, how 'bout Gismondo?
Antonietta Stella italian soprano of great reputation, rose to stardom in the 50's and suffered from the feud that polarized the opera world between Callas and Tebaldi.
I am assuming that the soprano singing here is Signorina Stella.I am not familiar with her. If anyone reading this knows about her, please provide some information about her. Grazie mille.

In my opinion she is THE BEST soprano drammatico. With her voice so warm and technically perfect! Her "Morro', ma prima in grazia" is the emblem of all lyric singing. I watch it everyday.
where are Aidas and Amneris like these today???

Do you have the Preiser recording from the early 50s of Aida w/ Borso, Mary Curtis Verna and Ettore Bastianini?
Was originally a low-budget disc on the Remington label. Good sound. Borso is great. His only studio recording.
There is a live Manon Lescaut of him and Magda Olviero from about 14 years later. He sounds terrible on that.

the only reason she suffered was because she didn't mach either Tebaldi's wonderful voice or Callas's art.
