This system is not deployed anywhere. The company failed to find any buyers for it, even the PLA. At 200km - 400km range you might as well go for SRBM, it won't that much more expensive.

Not quite. What you are talking about are the ATACMS guided missiles that can be fired by the MLRS launcher. And it is 300km not miles. But only 2 can be carried on one vehicle reducing capacity. ATACMS is a Short Range Ballistic Missile. China, Russia, even Iran have their own. The actual MLRS rockets are only limited to at most 60km at this time.

Phead. Air Superiority did nothing to help the US on Iwo Jima. Iran is 70% Mountain territory. Mountains are great Bunkers when you have good Engineers planning your defenses. Connecting mountains to roads and building hardened garages into the mountains would allow the defender equipped with SRBM and MLRS systems to outlast an aerial bombardment. Hezbollah demonstrated this in 2006.

very true however going beyond the technology factor that America undeniably possess that is most important in sustaining prolong warfare (such as hiding in the mountains) is having adequate funding to keep the war going in extended periods of time. you need logistics in supplying soldiers with ammumition (in this case, bulky, hard to disguise missiles that would be hard to truck to hidden sites without being discovered).

After a prolonged bombardment of enemy airfields with long range cruise missiles and SRBM's I don't think there will be much of a threat from any region based fighter aircraft. At best the US could use B-52's in carpet bomb style attacks but I would also build hardened aircraft bunkers too when that situation would occur.
