If you have to have that much acute situational awareness, you need to go to a different store or at a different time of day. Yes, be aware of your environment, just like when you mow the lawn, but for Christ's sake, this video borderlines silly.

Be aware, but it's when we start thinking that anyone looking at you when you f.ex. load your car is going to push you in and rape you, that's called paranoia. Krav Maga is excellent for selfdefense, but this is just getting stupid.

Advice:

Learn some kind of seldefense, but hell I'd last longer NOT being that aware than I would while BEING that aware. I'd go crazy after a day or two.

That was an exaggeration so you can see what she is doing. I always watch whats around me when I am loading my hatch. It's simple. Grab something. Take a look around. Place your item and do a quick pan as you turn to grab something else. It becomes fluid and natural eventually. A criminal will more likely ignore you because everyone prefers the fight that they have an advantage. Awareness removes surprise as an advantage. And your body to the side or back to the wall is safer too.

@maciejadams ok, well u don't have to keep ur back fully to the car, and keep in mind that when some one is coming to rape or do what ever, they probably won't do it in a public place like a super market, and if they did it would probably be at late hours, when there is not much people around, so yea you if ur a woman alone at those hours it's better to keep looking around all the time.

In most cases the women are always caught off guard and can't access the mace in a split seconds notice so unless you carry your mace glued to your hand it's not very effective. I would use it as a follow up for physical attacks In example: When he attacks punch him in the throat knee/kick to the groin then reach for mace. Also I would go with a Kimber Guardian as my alternative to mace or pep spray.

I'm really honestly beginning to think expert village is a spoof company that just does parodies of how-to videos.

First, why would the attacker push her into the back of the car and close the door? What can he do then? He cant go anywhere without the keys, and getting them off a struggling person in the back of a car who's trying to get away is not going to be easy.

I'm sure this is supposed to look clever, and give the audience an "omg I didn't think of that" moment so as to be further impressed by the instructor for showing them, but its really just a silly idea.

Nope. Solution - turn around and load your groceries in backwards. Way to go. Now someone can approach you from the other side, come around the back and swing hard with a fist, nailing you in the mouth, knocking you out AND putting you in the trunk which is more than they would have accomplished the first time.
