program used is pure doom3. no other shit needed. d3 has guied, afed, maped, and shit like that inside. you only have to use console. dunno how, i forgot. press the console key maybe, then something like r_fullscreen. set it to 0, then vid_restart, and write in mapedit, press tab and it will give you the results. or it starts with edit.

Help, I recently got Doom 3 and I haven't the slightest clue on how to get to the doom editor! do I have to insert disc 2 or three? Because it doesnt show on the launch menu or the main menu. I say again, HELP! please

ive just found out how to. launch doom 3 and bring up the console (ctrl alt ~) or if that dont work, swap the ~ for the key directly under the esc key. then type 'editor' and hit enter ;).

How'd you get the shadows to appear on the walls?

Seriously, I could never get that.

find your DoomConfid.cfg file and open in wordpad, look for a line that says, seta g_showPlayerShadow "0"

Change the 0 to a 1 and this will enable player shadows. You can also enable other things like plasma trails from projectiles etc that remain hidden from teh normal in game settings.

I was refering to seeing your own shadows in first person. I have the game on high quality and everything but I can only see my shadow in third person or when I'm looking through a mirror.
