soy milk is not good for you..at all. for one is acid forming to the body. stay away from processed food. to veg/vegen you must educate your self about nutrition. if you get the majority of your cals from processed food and fat your health will suffer! ~ theirs nothing wrong with a wool jumper!! :) nothing at all!! :D
It's pretty simple to be vegan you know.....I don't by food that has the "ingridients" sign on them. I was a raw food vegan too( 80/10/10 diet) it was great just a bit too expensive in my country.
I cook all my food at home rom ingridients I bought. But I try to eat as much raw food as I can. Also don't starve yourself, count your calories if you have to make sure you eat enough, hope this helps a bit.
yeah it is tough. but when in doubt, eat it anyway. i am a vegan that eats honey and eggs. so... not a vegan. but i also feel that if i ever have the balls enough to kill my own animals in a starvation situation, then i would eat it with no problems... again... not a vegan. but i do understand the basics of primates. apes and monkeys still eat 3% or so animal life in the wild and so it's ok to eat meat. i just stay away from over processed junk. good luck with your quest. to each his own. :)
Being vagan can be dangerous. Basically you can eat legumes instead of meant because the chemical structure is very similar. We should also eat nuts, vegetables, fruits (no new breedings), eggs and berries. We should avoid carbohydrates like sugar, sweets, potatoes, cereal and rice because that causes diabetes, depressions and other diseases.
@mymay84 white rice perhaps? anything WHITE (refined) is not good. white refined enriched bleached flour, crackers salt sugar rice you name it. also watch out for GMO's (genetically modified) if its gmo soy, veggies or whatever that causes problems. anything TAMPERED with causes problems. same for herbicides and pesticides in the food. go 100% organic or grow your own.
@UtubeCanEatMyDick Well, basically no cereals or potatoes. We are not used to it. Men started eating these things just recently and our pancreas can't handle it.
I would suggest to look at the ingredients list on any packaged food. If it does not have the list, ask ask around for the ingredients. When eating out just ask for any vegan entrees or if the chef could make something special. I thought I would miss out on my favorite restaurants because of , but that is not the case. It would be insane to ensure there is not animal trace in any food or preparation items. Just avoid what you reasonably can. Its the ethics that matter not the insane orthodoxy.
Hi... I am raw vegan because I believe cooked foods are not ideal as they are devoid of enzymes, I do not eat dairy because of how the cows are treated and how the baby calves are taken from their mothers soon after birth and often killed or sold as veal if male and the females are then destined to live a life of suffering as their mother did. Look up The truth about dairy to find out more. I do not eat dead animals as I want to live as a compassionate and empathetic person.
@REALNRAW there are many other reasons also such as the china study... look up "meat and dairy causes cancer". It is a great lecture. Even organic I believe to be unhealthy. Thanks:) Anyway it is much easier to be vegan as time goes on. Just make sure you eat a wide variety of foods and seaweeds also The packaged junk vegan foods are not so good for us. Also do not rely on Tofu, there are much better options:)
Healthfood stores are the best places to find vegan products. I wouldnt suggest becoming vegan for fashion, I became vegan because of Rastafari, I currently wear leather shame on me. Keep reading your lables learn more about chemistry,If we dont save humanity animals are doomed !!! Jah Bless.
You read the ingredient list, and some products are actually labeled vegan. There are all kinds of vegan milk, like ricemilk... It's true you dont buy non food with non vegan things in them, and the products like the one you were showing us. There are also online vegan shops.
If it's truly ethical/enviromental reasons, you buy all things organic to.
I'm vegan and I think you are not able to be "100% vegan". At least not these days. I always read the ingredients and if there's just a little dairy or egg inside, I don't buy it. But companies don't have to write all the ingredients on the packaging and so you can't be 100% sure. But we can all try. Not trying it is the worst you could do. You quit before starting and trying it.
@MetalicSlinky vegans dont eat, use, or wear ANY animal related products, even if its not cruel BUT shockingly if you look up some info about the australian wool trade (and other countrys to but australia's one of the worst) you'll see how sick it really is. one of the worst things they do is chop off the backsides of all lambs with any anesthetic to prevent 'flystrike' (i know, how messed up is the world)
@steph4691 people who mutilate the sheep are not all right but small farmers who shear sheep to keep them comfortable and then use the wool are not hurting anything. I'd rather have clothes with materials provided from local wool providers than cotton or polyester made from little kids in overseas sweatshops.
Basically every morning I have a big green smoothie, with things like kale, barley, celery, spinach, and then plenty of fruit like pineapple, apple, peach, and blueberries to make it sweeter. Then for lunch I usually have a salad with lots of greens and cooked nuts like almonds or pecans. Then for dinner I'll have veggie soup or another salad. As for the whole clothing issue, I don't much lay attention to that. Not wearing the clothes isn't going to bring the animals back to life.
No one should be a vegan without first sitting on a real honest-to-goodness plow and plowing a field. Look behind you, and marvel at all the chopped-up rabbit nests, mouse nests, lizard/snake body parts, etc. Speculate on the (thousands/millions) of small animals and insects dying for you. How big or human-like does a face need to be before you'll attach value to it? It's the choice between being a realist who embraces science and logic, versus being a hypocrite. You've made your choice.
@tylermars1 We eat bugs so stop trying to be superior because your vegetarian or whatever. Fact is you drive a car(fueled by dead animals), have a home(you took animal habitat), and use products that harm animals everyday. I'm 95% vegan for health, not to be a dumbass and act better than everyone. If you simply don't have a child you save more animals than being vegan! Facts BRAH....and people like you make vegans seem like douchebags.
@infinitewobdrahpa You eat bugs? What are you an ant eater? That is effing disgusting, dood. But like the man said, not near as digusting as knowingly ingesting rotting, bloody carcass parts dripping with death and disease. Know what else eat that? Maggots! LOL
watch durian rider.....ummmm....read douglas grahams book 80 10 10
um.....one must eat a lot of fruit for a lot of calories, the right kind, not from bread, but a lot of mangoes, bananas, dates, water, the brain runs off of sugar the cells do too, glucose.....
Been a veggie head and vegan is totally unhealthy each to their own but I always see vegetarians and Vegans looking so unhealthy such as (Far to skinny not enough body fat skinny faces and bony arms shrunken face) Humans where not made to eat like rabbits thats all im saying
@AussieRedneck09 I don't see any vegans as you descibe, and I know hundreds. All the vegans I have seen or met look incredicbly heahlty, soft glowing skin, shiny full hair, few wrinkles or gray, very healthy, generally 10 years younger than omnis of the same age. How many vegans do you know?
Would you rather eat like a rabbit (or gorilla, elephant, rhino, etc) OR eat like a maggot? LOL Herbivore FTW!
I'm a vegan, that eats honey and uses wool clothing+I'm horseriding too.
I think vegan in basis, is people who don't eat dairy products and egg and stuff. Still think you can yourself a vegan if you eat honey and beeswax, that they ude to have in candy and so. But that's me, I care about animals, but not about insects that much x)
@LillyTheHill Then you're a vegetarian. You're not a vegan. Insects are animals. You are still exploiting an animal for your own selfish needs. Same with the wool. There are no levels to veganism. Someone is vegan or someone is not. There aren't grey areas. An animal is an animal. A life is a life.
@davidshon07 Flax seed is great for omega-3, pepita seeds are great for zinc, tahini or sesame seeds are great for calcium. Look to whole foods where possible. Googling "vegan sources of..." when in doubt helps.
If not starving and eating a varied whole food diet with sufficient caloric needs then it's impossible to get a protein deficiency. Protein supplements are not necessity.
B12 can be an issue, or not, for meat eaters and vegans alike. Blood tests occasionally are smart.
There are egg replacements and as far as cheese goes there are soy and rice cheese where I live but it may be harder for some to find those type of options
mother trucker i just shot a 350m lb deer, im going to be eating that all winter. you got it all wrong chick meat is were its at. try it some time and you will be hooks.
I have exactly the same questions and will enjoy sifting through the comments in order to get some good advice. Most days I find myself having to make "exceptions" in one way or another, and it is annoying me. I live in Poland and I am an auditor so I can't keep to a routine in one place all the time.
Long time ago i use to ask and wonder "why are these insane p.e.t.a. liersvegans all so butt fucking ugly?" Then i realised it's the vegan diet that makes them so butt ugly. So if your goal is too look sickly frail and insane and masculine like ellen or a anorexic rosie odonnel then be vegan. Vegan women are ugliest women on planet and the craziest. But i reserve deep hatred for males typically but these lier p.e.t.a. vegan bitches on you tube have won my hatred i hate you lieer crazy bitch.

Humans are OMNIVORES ... Google Omnivore .. Google Omnivore teeth ... Google Chimpanzee Teeth (unless you are a Theist)
Science shows the truth in the world and the TRUTH is that we are decedents of Omnivores whether you like it or not. The TRUTH also is meat is harmful in the types and quantities most people eat them. The TRUTH also is our canine (ape) teeth have shrunk (recessed) greatly since we started cooking our meats.
Dear insane liar bitch- practice what you preach and since you think animals have more right to life then men, kill yourself immediately coward practice what you preach. Not only would your crazy ass being dead be great for enviroment and save water air landfill space for sane humans, one less animal worshipping lying insane bitch would be best thing for hman race possible. Shut fuck up liar crazy bitch.

Why do people go to Vegan or Vegetarian videos and tell people why they aren't either one? What's the point? In my opinion, they have to have a curiosity about it or they wouldn't be here.
Dude to be vegan you have to eat natural. Come on, don´t buy the shit from industries. Rice, legumes, all cereals (naturally) all the vegetables, fruits, roots. Just boil or steam, never fried. Iam a bodybuilder and vegan. I eat lentils with rice, bananas, apples, cherrys, kiwis, fruits in general, onion, garlic, fresh. You people are insane eating all that manufactured crap full with preservants, colorants and who knows what more. Stop eating sugar, candys, coffe all thouse stimulant.
@liviecwh legumes !! xD lentils jeje with rice XD awesome. Yea you know that starchs get denaturalize over 110 celcius grade and are best asimilated when they are boild betwen 70 and 100 grade celcius.
You have to see healthy food as healthy and the unhealthy "food" as unhealthy (a contradiction to life). So long as we aren't clear about this, the mind will fight, even if we have will power to abstain. I don't use will power to live vegan and love it. I was vegan for 2 months before a friend pointed out that the marshmallows I liked had animal in them. That sucked because I liked them. But once I realized the sickness of putting horse/pig hooves in a "treat", it was easy.
almond milk, soy milk, rice milk, coconut milk, hazelnut, oat milk, spelled milk and even hemp milk.
Also you never can say "i don't like rice milk" cause it's like for every other label it has a different taste - one you'd like and the other no way! but probably (and that's what i hope, is that) you ment "not soy" because of monsanto. or the milk is gained from the 90% of the soy that gets feeded to the "burger cows"
@9snaker its ok to drink organic soy milk, even though its not actualy milk. so tell me are you a vegan ? do you eat meat, eggs, cheese , , if you do you are not a vegan,
@witchcraftlord Rice milk of rice fortified drink is supposedly more nutrional than soy milk, the kind i use has 30% calcium per cup, thats more than cows milk, if you can find organic soy milk, there is nothing wrong with that, some soy beans have been told to be geneticaly modified, people tamper with plants to make them grow faster, bigger, and perhaps some try to rid them of the chance of getting eaten by pesticides, if its not organic, may have pesticides,
i just think wow i think im better then everyone else cos i think i saving the planet when really i just a narcissistic dumb dick who thinks im holier then everyone else in the world just cos i dont eat meat
@MrCanadianComedian Of course those on the Standard American Diet are dropping like flies. 1 in 2 chance of heart disease, 1 in 6 chance of premature stroke, 1 in 4 chance of diabetes, etc, etc. Enjoy!
Why are you a vegan? do you want be healthy? because if that's the case .. then you shouldn't be eating those cookies. did you see how many ingredients are on that box. ITS ALL CHEMICALS. Eat fruit. :-)
Yea.. When you make the vegan step, a lot of foods go out the window..!!! No more foods that the ingridients include the milk and the egg... But your body will thank you..!!! Now you can get to know more and more your natural friends like potatoes, camote, yuca, onions, tomatos, peppers, aji, ajo, cilantro, bok choy, aguacate, beans, garbanzos, tofu, etc the thousand ways of cooking them together or apart.. Stir fried, in the oven, Etc Its nice to experiment in the kitchen.. Vegan feels good.
most of the items you are talking about are processed items anyway. Most true vegans usually stay away from vegan friendly processed items. I am not sure what kind of quality fruits/veggies has at your local market, but i recommend local farmers market. Steam potatos/carros etc. Eat nuts throughout the day if you want. quionoa is good too.
Since I went Vegan all I've been consuming is water, juice, tea, fruit, veg, non-butter popcorn, bread and cereal.
About the leather product, remember eating meat or sitting on a leather couch isn't really an issue because the product is already made so that might help us feel better but its not about us its about the animals. I have a vegan diet for choice to express opinion + its healthier.
But the issue is buying the products, that's what keeps the animal slaughter going.
Soy milk is bad for you. Go with almond or rice milk. Gelatin is also meat. I buy beans in a bag, nothing added in it. More veggies and fruits. No humus, no donuts. You do have to cook your own food. Also buy coconut oil. Excellent!! Also honey is a negative!!
there is protein and calcium in leafy green veggies (broccolli, kale, spinnach etc.)
also if there is a farmers market or something near your house, (like peoples, henries, trader joes, yoou can buy a nutritional shake that has all of your vitamins and 50% of protein, i cant remember how much pottasium but its like 60%, called "Vega". as to animal products like wool or leather dont buy products with them in it.
i am just constantly reminding myself of all the innocent lives i am saving including my own! when you go vegan something happens spiritually, doors open that you never knew exsisted and you feel wonderful. i can only explain it as a feeling of becoming one with the earth and once you feel that it's like home. you never want to leave.

Thanks everyone for your comments. I'm closing this because I'm getting a lot of messages unrelated to this video. But if you want to discuss anything you can message me here on Youtube.
@porolita22 Good on you:) very happy to hear that you made the effort to take that extra step...I notice that this video was posted a few years ago, I hope that you have stuck to it and realised how easy it really s to be Vegan:)
And I also know some people who believe that a vegan diet does not support whole/complete nutrition. For instance, one friend I have Diets vegan for 3 months to lose weight, and then turns back. And repeats the cycle. I just don't respect the generalization of meat eaters, because I feel amazing day in and day out, I eat meat. Nothing is wrong with me, im never that sick, and I have tons of energy. And I didnt need the vegan diet to accomplish that.
"It is the position of The American Dietetic Association (ADA) that appropriately planned vegetarian diets are healthful, are nutritionally adequate, and provide health benefits in the prevention and treatment of certain diseases." - Google is your friend dude. Educate yourself.
@pampamproductions google says nothing, it's merely a tool for you to find useful info. You can and should check the sources of everything you find online, that is obvious.
@porolita22 Dude thats bullshit. Eating meat doesn't cause disease unless the meat itself is contaminated or something similar. Because of factory farming and the use of steroids in breeding livestock, this is why we see some negative effects on the body through the consumption of meat. Espicially in countries like the states where they farm loads and eats loads. The body needs complete proteins (from meat) as well as carbs, fruits, vegetables etc. The healthiest diets are balanced.
And most grown adults treat it as a lifestyle. I strongly believe young children treat this as a fad because they have been brainwashed into kneeling down to anothers beliefs without deciding what suits them best. I see alot of parents doing this now, and it pisses me off that their kids are brainwashed into believing what their parents support as morals insead of letting their kids mold themselves as humans, Its sickening. I do look deep into it, I know plenty of friends who are.
I agree with you on that, many people can be persuaded into this without proper knowledge and then in a whim just go back to how they were before. However this is not a norm, and I know a few vegans here on youtube who in spite of being really young are really educated in t his matter, you'd be surprised.
Feed for cattle, chicken and pigs is specifically grown and raised for these animals. If it were meant for humans farmers would sell it because the profit would be much higher selling it into the market, and keep the smallest portion needed for his livestock. So I don't really agree with the "feed for animals can be feeding humans" Certain breeds of corn are raised just for cattle, and some are raised for human consuption.
Well that whole "feed for animals can be feeding humans" is not some wishful invention of me. In 2007 that was declared by the United Nations.. again you should do your research. About 16 pounds of grain are needed to produce 1 pound of meat. It is inefficient at best.
And I am not talking about the "feed" itself alone, but the land, water and resources invested in it. Livestock raising emits 60% more greenhouse gases than global transportation combined. You should google that, I am not lying.
Lets say this. Tomorrow everyone in the world stops eating meat. Everything starts eating plants. 6+ billion humans feeding on plants, And an outrageously large growing population of cows pigs and chickens start to feed also. In america There is a guaranteed shortage. Not to mention if a portion of the country happens to be overwhelmed with a drought, or some kind of insect infection. Then what?
You can't possibly think that from o ne day to another people all over the world will stop eating meat right? That's delusional. Every social change takes time, and a lot. Eating meat for some people is a necesity, they do it to survive, hence they couldn't stop right away, but for people in the civilized world like us, it becomes a preference and nothing else. You can't try to disregard the positive impact on veganism on some fictional scenario, because we all know that's not the way it will be
Along with this, even if meat was produced in a clean and less torturing manner, you'd all still freak. The only reason this fad came out is because of peta. I admit its disgusting, but how else can we feed some 6+ billion people on the earth? If lions were as populous as us, they'd need the same thing, they just arent compatible to do so. If we all convert and eat no meat, there will be a veggie shortage because of demand. Its natural balance, and the circle of life and we cant change it.
You do realize that the animals people eat have to feed for months or years in order to grow fat enough for slaughter right? They eat a lot of plants, grain and feed made from food that could feed a whole lot of more people. So the argument of food shortage is actually the other way around. A plant based diet is more ecologically sustainable than a regular diet.
And another thing... vegetarianism, and later veganism, have existed for far longer than Peta. Not all vegans support Peta, so don't call it a "fad". If you don't understand the wider picture behind veganism, I suggest you look deeper into it. You'll be surprised.
I just don't get the added stress of looking through everything. If we all want to be as educated as we think we are. We'd know that everything in the food industry is corrupt. There are chemicals being used to treat plants from insects, diseases, and fertilizing them. The only pure way to avoid all of this would be to grow your own foods. The machines processing your plants still destroy environment, for all you environmentalists. Unless you believe its all done by sweat shop.
I agree with your first comment, however, why not do this positive change? Just because we can't fix it all? There's a lot of help we can do, not only to the animals, but to the environment and our health by going vegan. I've done it now and it's the best thing I've done. I feel great :)
If you like sweets, I recommend the books, "Sinfully Vegan," by Lois Dieterly, and "Vegan Cupcakes Take Over the World," by Isa Chandra Moskowitz & Terry Hope Romero. I have close to 40 cookbooks on being vegan and I never would have thought I would like it better than being non-vegetarian. The best thing I have ever done in my life. I LOVE THE FOOD! Yum!!
Hello, I'd say the best thing when you go to the supermarket is to just all the ingredients of the product before you buy it. Being vegan isn't that hard, it eventually comes as second nature. Obviously there's been times I've messed up and purchased things I didn't think would have animal derivativesin them (like toothpaste?! WTF!) and that stuff.. and prescription mecidine I have to take is probably tested on animals :( but I hope not! When it comes to old products, I'd say either keep them so
so that they don't go to waste, or try to give them away to someone. I live in a house as the only vegan, so my parents bought leather couches and car seats (which sickens me) butI sit on a towel on top of it but that doesn't really even matter. Just think about the fact YOU didn't purchase it. Once I move out I will never purchase any furniture or car with leather. Good luck going vegan! It's truly not that hard especially cause you're already a vegetarian.
It doesn't take me that long. And after you know what you can buy you won't have to read labels as closely. I still do just incase but yeah it becomes second nature. And you'll even learn vegan brands and what not. I find it pretty easy.
i feel the same ........ in ireland there are almost no specifically vegan convinience foods in supermarkets....... so i have to read A LOT of labels lol
..................but really overall veganism is pretty easy:)
Dont stop eating animal products because you want to be vegan. Stop because u dont find it ok and continue if u do find it ok. But no, if u eat these bars u are not vegan.
if you wanna eat animal products in a very minimal but feel guilty then dont do it, you'll learn ? if you just happen to not eat a majority of animal products in ypour diet then good on you ! you dont need to label yourself ?
Hey my sista soy is so bad for you.....check out Dr.sebi's clips....It's not realy about vegan or not vegan......thats just a name.....If your eating a "vegan" diet you still need to take in the minerals that you need.......If you call their office in L.A they will send you a nutritional guid.....(310) 838-2490........I love the Dr.sebi's VIENTO........
Hi, I suggest going to special stores/shops with organic food. They often sell vegan stuff. Other than that, you just have to go through the ingredients list on the packaging. Not a big problem, since you only have to do that once with every kind of food. Good luck. Vegan for 14 years... Vegetarian for 16...
i know it can be a really hard thing to maintain, but you're doing a great thing for the world. animals will recieve their rights sooner or later.. like blacks, and women.
I wrote once: "I wd love 2go vegan, but I am only a student...I just can't afford the products wh contain no milk and avoid all the dairy products nd get the expensive balanced ones. I feel so helpless and guilty. Smtms I don't even enjoy eatg eggs and dairies, it mks me retch very badly. I am also very angry at organic fd shops 4 not mkg those products mr affordable.I'm not really, really ccnd with eatg organic food 4 health reasons only ; all I want is not hurting animals!"
I am vegan and I actually spend less on my groceries than I used to. The thing that I do is buy whole foods and prepare them at home for myself. There are soooo many vegan recipes online and there are even videos here on youtube. I get dried beans, nuts, grains, fresh vegetables etc. and there are easy, cheap replacements for milk and eggs. It is possible to be completely vegan with a small budget. I actually save money now. Send me a message if you have any questions. Good luck.
The best reason for being vegan is health. Animal products (especially dairy because of the casein) promote cancer growth (T.Colin Campbell) heart disease, diabetes, rheumatoid arthritis, psoriasis and a host of other diseases. Check out McDougall's website - his wife has 100's of free vegan recipes and their website has tons of FREE info on dangers of meat/dairy and actually oil as well. America is dying of PROTEIN OVERDOSE!
Ironic you worry about wildlife being used for the manufacturing of beef...
Do you realize how much wildlife has been harmed from YOU city people? Urban sprawl, cities, and also, when you tear up native grasses to farm them for crops it is much more harmfull than pastureland for other animals.
Good luck being vegan.... so many things of our daily lives come from farm animals in many different ways. I know its possible, but good luck.
well u are right ... lots of vegans owns a car for instance , but they don t know that the paint and wheels are made with pig s oil in it , so are cigarettes, medicines , shampoos, wine, bier etc ... I like u , I try to eat most vegan , but i think the real vegan are the fruitarians
i'm vegan my whole life...when i was a baby i just couldn't eat meat or eggs which some people find strange,i hate milk too...and here in Serbia u can't find food that's labeled as vegan food which can be a problem for me...but i stick to fresch vegetables and that workes just fine :) beside the fact that is wrong to eat animals...the taste of meat is just awful and i dont want to tell about the smell...and fish is grose too.
eat more natural fresh vegetables and fruits and seeds//nuts. and dont worry about protein, literally everything has protein, if you are getting enough calories you are getting enough protein. and you dont even have to buy soy milk, you can make almond milk, let almonds soak, then blend them with water. and you can drain the pulp or leave it in. good protein and it tastes good =]
see what i still don't get is how is drinking milk not being a vegan or veg. because it just comes from cows, it not a cow. I do drink milk but don't eat animal products or eggs. and does anybody get this to, when u tell someone your veg. they get all surprised. lol
Cattle must be impregnanted in order to lactate milk. In industrial milk production the calves the result from this are almost always sold for veal. There is also the horrific living conditions that dairy cows usually suffer in.
forced to stand there for days on end eating grain and getting impregnated for there milk to produce, and after they have a baby and they stop producing milk the same process starts over again, and in most cases if the baby cow is male, it is send to the veal industry. and if its female its raised to do the same as its mother did.
I've only been vegan for about half a year now so I don't know how helpful I can be. =P But I shall try. About the eggs in milk in products, you just need to avoid that. But just because those fruit bars have eggs doesn't mean they all will, so you need to check all brands and flavors. You might be able to have some! I eat a lot of simple home-made and instant things haha. Did you know Oreos are vegan?
Also, about the couch thing. I've always wondered that too... I'm not sure... XD
You are getting prettier and prettier, it looks like you were carrying a bit of puppyfat on your cheeks here and since going vegan your features have become more refined. I've had a similar effect, I think I look totally different now then I did before I went vegan or even in the beginning few months of my veganism :-)
Veganism is simple. Just look at ingredients in foods that you eat. Eventually you will know for the most part what is and isn't vegan. It is also good for you're health because vegans HAVE to be more concientious about what they put in they're body. Try Boca Burgers, but make sure they are vegan. Salads of course, try to eat dark leafy greens, and alot of raw food will be in your diet, but that is a good thing. Stir Fry is one of my favorite vegan dishes. Just be careful of what you consume.
i respect everybody ideologies including vegans, homosexuals and even the taliban. I just hate it when any one of these groups thinks that "their way" is the only way and all others in the wrong. That is fanaticism don't you think?
PS- lots of vegans wouldn't be alive today if not for medical procedures perfected on animals over the years..Even the vaccines you give your children are made from the serum of horses and rabbits n rats that were "abused" just to keep you alive!!
What a waste of time. Meat and eggs are provided for our food - just eat them and enjoy them instead of trying to decide whether you're a vegan or a pescatarian. Have you nothing better to do with your time?
Who decided that animals should be exploited, tortured and killed for human consumption. Are you so committed to the idea of ahuman supremacy, that you have no feelings for our animal friends?
This video makes me want to kill small animals, videotape it, and send a hundred copies to your doorstep. I hope a kitten dies for every viewer you get.

Vegan? Its' about balance and how you make the best of your energy.
EurekaRecycler 5 days ago
yeah it is tough. but when in doubt, eat it anyway. i am a vegan that eats honey and eggs. so... not a vegan. but i also feel that if i ever have the balls enough to kill my own animals in a starvation situation, then i would eat it with no problems... again... not a vegan. but i do understand the basics of primates. apes and monkeys still eat 3% or so animal life in the wild and so it's ok to eat meat. i just stay away from over processed junk. good luck with your quest. to each his own. :)

Being vagan can be dangerous. Basically you can eat legumes instead of meant because the chemical structure is very similar. We should also eat nuts, vegetables, fruits (no new breedings), eggs and berries. We should avoid carbohydrates like sugar, sweets, potatoes, cereal and rice because that causes diabetes, depressions and other diseases.
mymay84 1 week ago
@mymay84 white rice perhaps? anything WHITE (refined) is not good. white refined enriched bleached flour, crackers salt sugar rice you name it. also watch out for GMO's (genetically modified) if its gmo soy, veggies or whatever that causes problems. anything TAMPERED with causes problems. same for herbicides and pesticides in the food. go 100% organic or grow your own.

12345pimpship 1 week ago

Also do not rely on Tofu, there are much better options:)

Wool is fine it doesn't kill sheep in fact sheep need sheared to stay healthy
MetalicSlinky 2 weeks ago
@MetalicSlinky vegans dont eat, use, or wear ANY animal related products, even if its not cruel BUT shockingly if you look up some info about the australian wool trade (and other countrys to but australia's one of the worst) you'll see how sick it really is. one of the worst things they do is chop off the backsides of all lambs with any anesthetic to prevent 'flystrike' (i know, how messed up is the world)
steph4691 1 week ago

If you are vegan you should also take B12, zinc, calcium, flaxseed, protein supplements.
How do I manage to do it? Personally I allow myself to watch cooking shows and discipline myself that way. I also mostly juice and make blends :)
davidshon07 3 weeks ago
@davidshon07 Flax seed is great for omega-3, pepita seeds are great for zinc, tahini or sesame seeds are great for calcium. Look to whole foods where possible. Googling "vegan sources of..." when in doubt helps.
If not starving and eating a varied whole food diet with sufficient caloric needs then it's impossible to get a protein deficiency. Protein supplements are not necessity.
B12 can be an issue, or not, for meat eaters and vegans alike. Blood tests occasionally are smart.

But once I realized the sickness of putting horse/pig hooves in a "treat", it was easy.

witchcraftlord 3 months ago
@witchcraftlord
it's up to her what kind of milk:
almond milk, soy milk, rice milk, coconut milk, hazelnut, oat milk, spelled milk and even hemp milk.
Also you never can say "i don't like rice milk" cause it's like for every other label it has a different taste - one you'd like and the other no way! but probably (and that's what i hope, is that) you ment "not soy" because of monsanto. or the milk is gained from the 90% of the soy that gets feeded to the "burger cows"

robadog69 2 months ago
@witchcraftlord Rice milk of rice fortified drink is supposedly more nutrional than soy milk, the kind i use has 30% calcium per cup, thats more than cows milk, if you can find organic soy milk, there is nothing wrong with that, some soy beans have been told to be geneticaly modified, people tamper with plants to make them grow faster, bigger, and perhaps some try to rid them of the chance of getting eaten by pesticides, if its not organic, may have pesticides,

Civic8yourSRT4 2 years ago
I agree with you on that, many people can be persuaded into this without proper knowledge and then in a whim just go back to how they were before. However this is not a norm, and I know a few vegans here on youtube who in spite of being really young are really educated in t his matter, you'd be surprised.
porolita22 2 years ago
Feed for cattle, chicken and pigs is specifically grown and raised for these animals. If it were meant for humans farmers would sell it because the profit would be much higher selling it into the market, and keep the smallest portion needed for his livestock. So I don't really agree with the "feed for animals can be feeding humans" Certain breeds of corn are raised just for cattle, and some are raised for human consuption.
Civic8yourSRT4 2 years ago
Well that whole "feed for animals can be feeding humans" is not some wishful invention of me. In 2007 that was declared by the United Nations.. again you should do your research. About 16 pounds of grain are needed to produce 1 pound of meat. It is inefficient at best.
porolita22 2 years ago
And I am not talking about the "feed" itself alone, but the land, water and resources invested in it. Livestock raising emits 60% more greenhouse gases than global transportation combined. You should google that, I am not lying.
porolita22 2 years ago
Lets say this. Tomorrow everyone in the world stops eating meat. Everything starts eating plants. 6+ billion humans feeding on plants, And an outrageously large growing population of cows pigs and chickens start to feed also. In america There is a guaranteed shortage. Not to mention if a portion of the country happens to be overwhelmed with a drought, or some kind of insect infection. Then what?
Civic8yourSRT4 2 years ago
You can't possibly think that from o ne day to another people all over the world will stop eating meat right? That's delusional. Every social change takes time, and a lot. Eating meat for some people is a necesity, they do it to survive, hence they couldn't stop right away, but for people in the civilized world like us, it becomes a preference and nothing else. You can't try to disregard the positive impact on veganism on some fictional scenario, because we all know that's not the way it will be
porolita22 2 years ago
Along with this, even if meat was produced in a clean and less torturing manner, you'd all still freak. The only reason this fad came out is because of peta. I admit its disgusting, but how else can we feed some 6+ billion people on the earth? If lions were as populous as us, they'd need the same thing, they just arent compatible to do so. If we all convert and eat no meat, there will be a veggie shortage because of demand. Its natural balance, and the circle of life and we cant change it.
Civic8yourSRT4 2 years ago
You do realize that the animals people eat have to feed for months or years in order to grow fat enough for slaughter right? They eat a lot of plants, grain and feed made from food that could feed a whole lot of more people. So the argument of food shortage is actually the other way around. A plant based diet is more ecologically sustainable than a regular diet.
porolita22 2 years ago

Civic8yourSRT4 2 years ago

When it comes to old products, I'd say either keep them so
HandOfMusic 2 years ago
so that they don't go to waste, or try to give them away to someone.
HandOfMusic 2 years ago
She can do that if she wants to make a 20 minute shopping trip into a 3 hour trip.
Civic8yourSRT4 2 years ago
It doesn't take me that long. And after you know what you can buy you won't have to read labels as closely. I still do just incase but yeah it becomes second nature. And you'll even learn vegan brands and what not. I find it pretty easy.
HandOfMusic 2 years ago
You need to eat some meat because you look so ugly...its ok to eat mean.

i feel the same ........ in ireland there are almost no specifically vegan convinience foods in supermarkets....... so i have to read A LOT of labels lol
..................but really overall veganism is pretty easy:)

Dont stop eating animal products because you want to be vegan. Stop because u dont find it ok and continue if u do find it ok. But no, if u eat these bars u are not vegan.
But just follow your own philosophy!
ProEthics 2 years ago
dont buy the things that do have products in them, but, of course, buy the things that dont have animal ingredients. :)

if you wanna eat animal products in a very minimal but feel guilty then dont do it, you'll learn ? if you just happen to not eat a majority of animal products in ypour diet then good on you ! you dont need to label yourself ?

Hi, I suggest going to special stores/shops with organic food. They often sell vegan stuff. Other than that, you just have to go through the ingredients list on the packaging. Not a big problem, since you only have to do that once with every kind of food. Good luck. Vegan for 14 years... Vegetarian for 16...

I do drink milk but don't eat animal products or eggs. and does anybody get this to, when u tell someone your veg. they get all surprised. lol
gslovesraiders 2 years ago
Cattle must be impregnanted in order to lactate milk. In industrial milk production the calves the result from this are almost always sold for veal. There is also the horrific living conditions that dairy cows usually suffer in.
schwarzblatt 2 years ago
Drinking milk is not vegan
because it comes from a cow.
and in most cases, cows are chained up
in a stall barely wider then themselves and are
forced to stand there for days on end eating grain and getting impregnated for there milk to produce, and after they have a baby and they stop producing milk the same process starts over again, and in most cases if the baby cow is male, it is send to the veal industry. and if its female its raised to do the same as its mother did.

XD

Isn't this where we met?
You are getting prettier and prettier, it looks like you were carrying a bit of puppyfat on your cheeks here and since going vegan your features have become more refined. I've had a similar effect, I think I look totally different now then I did before I went vegan or even in the beginning few months of my veganism :-)
TheVeganicWitch 2 years ago
Aww Jess I don't know how I missed this comment. Yes this is how we met. You were very helpful on my early vegan days :)
porolita22 2 years ago
Veganism is simple. Just look at ingredients in foods that you eat. Eventually you will know for the most part what is and isn't vegan. It is also good for you're health because vegans HAVE to be more concientious about what they put in they're body. Try Boca Burgers, but make sure they are vegan. Salads of course, try to eat dark leafy greens, and alot of raw food will be in your diet, but that is a good thing. Stir Fry is one of my favorite vegan dishes. Just be careful of what you consume.
EMC1792 2 years ago
i respect everybody ideologies including vegans, homosexuals and even the taliban.

ISG1957 2 years ago
100% wrong.
Who decided that animals should be exploited, tortured and killed for human consumption. Are you so committed to the idea of ahuman supremacy, that you have no feelings for our animal friends?
leavesturn 2 years ago
Sorry, not going to waste my time, except to suggest that you need to start to think about these matters, not just use uninformed emotional responses
