Thankyou for showing a side of this great man that few others will.He rose from a childhood of imprisonment and personal betrayal to answer the call of the church to fight against the invading Turks. He was a man religious conviction who founded and aided monasteries, repaid the Turks in their own horrid manner;married, fathered children and defended his beloved land with undying loyalty and fervor. Our leaders sell us for barrels of oil now or trade agreements...who would not have him back?
I seriously could not fit everything I love about Vlad here in this small space, but I will say that, granted some of his methods where to the extreme, but for the time and situations had to be done. He really did love his country and his people and wanted the best for them. Very glad you liked the video and show Vlad the respect and devotion he deserves, even in this day and age. *bows*
I agree with you on all counts! The 1989 Florescu and McNalley book on Vladislav is what got me intrigued, and I've been a devotee ever since.Another similar character is portrayed in the 1997 Polish film Ogniem i Mieczem.Jarema Korybut Wisniowiecki (1612-1651)was a Polish-Lithuanian Prince dealing with opposing forces in like fashion. The scenes #11,14,20 &21 are especially good too as the actor (Andrzej Seweryn) is evocative in dress and actions of V.D.,and this movie is fabulous!Multsumesc.
when I first saw this I tought you were romanian... It's so cool that other people like our movies (I'm romanian) thx 4 posting this! I love Vlad 2. And yes, he was cruel, but only to those who diserved it.
I wish this movie was released in the US. Spent 13 years studying Prince Vlad III and this would simply be a treasure for a historian such as myself! Thank you for this wonderful combo of hero worship and inspirational music.
If you want I can put this up on megaupload or something and send it to you? Granted yeah its in Romanian but if you know every detail about Vlad you can still understand whats going on.
I would greatly appreciate that. I have never done this before, I am just barely catching up to the digital age. (Historians tend to be buried in books for decades at a time) I have been looking for this film since I was fifteen. Thank you for any assistance you can offer in procuring such a treasure!
Amazing. Frankly... amazing. I love the video AND the music! You're at the top of your vid making game-as always!-and this, as with the others you've done, is exceptionally well done, the music wonderfully chosen. Top notch! :)
And wow he was able to smile!!!!!So nice

I consider myself as an monarchist but this man was an injust king, driven by personal hatred and thirst of blood.
