Maybe I'm set in my ways. Maybe I'm old school, but shit man, there was no better video games than the ones made for NES.

Castlevania, Mega Man, Metroid, Zelda, Kid Icarus, Section Z, Rush N' Attack, Contra, Gradius, Super Mario Bros, Trojan, Rygar, Wizards and Warriors, Mike Tyson's Punch Out, R.C Pro Am, Zelda II, Mega Man II, Ninja Gaiden, Commando, Tecmo Bowl. The list goes on and on.

Dammit, I wish I kept my NES!

There's something about NES artisticdirection that gets better with age from the bleeps of music to the crude color palete against fuzzy 80's tv. It's like videogame-noir & reverance surrounding each golden-age game.. makes fancy here-today-gone-tomorrow blockbusters look foolish. And the soundtracks scream "were as good as you standing on 1 crippled soundchip punk!" THUMBS UP

Revisited a few of the titles in this series. A few of them are really weird, like that arcade game. Downright horrible, not to talk about Simons Quest. UGH!! Rest is ok though, but SCIV and SoTN are the two kings at the top.

This is one of them hate/love games. You love it at first, then you hate it due to the fact that it kicks you in the face constantly over and over again. Then one day in the far off future, you FINALLY get to Dracula. You start to love it again. But then Dracula not only kicks your face in, but he eats it and craps it too. Then you hate the game again. But due to the game being so addicting you come back after your temper settles down. Then you FINALLY beat Dracula, and FINALLY you LOVE the game

The Reaper gave me headaches too, lol. The way I figured out how to beat him was to use the cross bomergang thingy & get that shit that let you shoot 3 at a time so when the fight started I would just jump around & let them fly. Was never able to beat him without it though.

I have no complaints with your rankings. I feel MM2 had the best soundtrack even by todays standards. I still get that tingly feeling hearing Wily's castle stage 1 theme.

I understand where you could think that the numbers are my personal rankings, but they aren't. I just make vids and number them, and MM2 happened to be the first one I did (some would say rightfully so).

Personally, I'm not a fan of people making ranks, just because music appreciation is mostly subjective. I just try to offer a big selection of tunes, then people can decide for themselves. Whatever the case, if you enjoy some tracks, then that's cool in my book.
