It's SO pretty! I'm glad you didn't plunk out a swing/drunk festive rhythm. I've never heard a reel played like this before, and it's sounds so elegant and romantic, especially with the piano. It reminds me of rain in the springtime. I wonder if other reels could be made to sound like this too.
It's not as... festive as it normally end up sounding because normally to play irish music you have to be drunk (Not to encourage you to start drinking!!) and therefore the tempo ends up being quicker :D but it's good :) Very Well done.
Well played indeed only ... I would prefer a steady dancing bass instead of this new-age-george-winston kinda sauce with sounding peddles. It is dance music altogether, isn't it? Ok might be a personal taste but a little bit more staccato and steady beat makes it swing and dancy,
