This was kinda of a second pilot and update due to ABC canceling after 13 episodes and a pilot movie and CBS renewing it and picking it up for the 1977-78 tv season. ABC kept doing that to their hit shows; also to THE BIONIC WOMAN after it's 2nd season(only full 22 episode-season 1 only 13 episodes)and then NBC picked it up for 1977-78 which ended being it's last full season 23 episodes.
It's all about money. Nowadays they want a lot more of it. I heard CBS canceled this show plus two others because of lack of ratings and ABC only wanted a trial period. For many years I couldn't even find ww on cable now I have all the DVD's. I never watched bionic woman. She must be high on Creatine. That's how she can detain both cars at the same time.
Hey there buddy, CBS also cancelled "FLYING HIGH" comedy/drama on Friday nites during the 78-79 season before WW on Fri nites. Now, I watched "FH" with CONNIE SELLECA, KATHRYN WITT & PAT KLOUS vid here for it finally!!!
Why didn't the "Bad Guys" simply set it in "drive" step on the gas and squish her? WW appeared to be struggling just lifting both vehicles and keeping them from pulling away. Guess that would be the end of the show if they did.
The villians on the CBS version of the show never were very bright. I still laugh at the scenes in which the villians capture Diana Prince and, when Diana disappears and Wonder Woman is standing in her place, the villians don't realize that Diana Prince and Wonder Woman are one and the same person;they just figure that Wonder Woman rescued Diana Prince.
Well, I guess it's the "Superman" thing were all she has to do to keep her "dual" identity secret is to wear glasses. Even though "Diana" and WW resemble each other "they" don't make the connection. Even in the CBS version were Diana from time to time doesn't wear glasses the bad guys don't make the connection either.
