Actually, not just from a "Stalinist point of view, but from Zizeks own personal view, and ANY objective view Bush's actions have strengthened Iran, admitted even by top military officials, so regardless of his intentions, FUNCTIONALY he acted in Iran's best interests, i.e. he functioned as an agent for strengthening Iran.

Zizek says hanging Bush would be a CONCERVATIVE AMERICANS response, A Stalinist view would be that hes an ACTUAL (and not just a functional) Iranian agent.

mm, I think there is a gap between what he is saying in his lecture and the Real world; many of Zizek's followers are not students of political science, so for these others his illustrations are simply to relate an idea and the subject, is chosen only because it is something that we all can relate to as it is for all to access in media.

If analysand spoke like this on the couch one would probably use a tape recorder rather that bother to decipher it longhand into notes.
