  • @oskarpineda

Just to le you know there are replica red special's on E-Bay for $799.00 US dollars and there are guitar video lesson's on You Tube given by the man himself Mr. May. It's never to late to learn.

  • SUCH an underestimated song.Freddie was so damn talented. I love the "magic in the air" part. No one else can change their voice like that

  • apparently the cameraman was either drunk or stoned.. or both

  • my fave queen song :)

  • Love this version

  • Brian May is so underrated! :(

I absolutely love him and believe he's up there in the top 5 of all time!

  • holy mother of jaysus may is on fire

  • BEST GUITAR SOLO OF ALL TIME

  • Daaaaaaaaaaaamn NOW THAT'S WHAT I CALL A GUITAR SOLO!!!! Brian May is TRULY a rock GOD!!! I swear THAT was the BEST guitar solo EVER!!!!

  • goddamm, if there was ever another guitar player he is jealous.

    Brian May = Class act

  • the full 'masterpiece' is nearly 11min. long

  • it's so cool!

  • 1 hell of a guiter solo ;)

  • @Gyphia I thought a witches tit is cold?

  • @0108955178 mine tix at the Los Angeles Forum for the 1978 Jazz tour cost a whopping $8.50! That's Inflation!!

  • ahahaha 2.04 john plays a G instead of E... he thought the riff was to the end.. and brian laughs when realizes the mistake... great john.. forever the best

  • 2:48 sweet lady outro solo a bit???

  • The Red Special-Yes! But know this. To create the profoundly sublime in awesomeness and break the mold through the bitter-sweet laberynth of time and change.-One of a kind can't begin to explain, R.I.P. Harold May and thank you for gracing the earth.

Great dads' are rare, but Brian May is envied for more than meets the eye.

  • @0108955178 That's awesome man! When were the other 2 dates and how would you compare the later shows to the earlier shows?

  • @0108955178 $7. 50?!?! That will buy you just a drink and a hot dog these days! Damn, what I would give to have seen them live....

  • @0108955178 Kool! I saw them with Billy Squire opening in the early (way early) 80's, I got to watch Brian Mays solo from about 15 feet away!! The true good old days!!

  • can u imagine the price of the red special on the market????

  • @bucsateflon Worth more than every other guitar in the world put together.

  • awesome

  • I was at this concert, it was awesome!! I was also @ Hyde park in sunny 76!! this band were to die for!!..Nobody could touch them!!!!

  • He just makes the guitar sing - few can do it like him

  • Home made guitar, six pence for a pick... };)

  • Home made guitar, six pence for a pick... };)

  • Roger Taylor doesn't ordinary play drums he plays drums like he paints the picture :). That's so amazing!

  • If Taylor could only sing the whole sing it would be even greater!

  • Brian May = Genius

    Guitar Hero & Astrophysicist!

  • AWESOME!!!!!

  • what does brian at 4:05?

  • @amerilioxxx90 He's just being awesome. As usual.

  • @Canaveral305 oh yes! surely!

  • @amerilioxxx90 Back in 77, they already used stereo PA system, and his main guitar panned to center, and 1st and 2nd delay unit were assigned to left and right. so at concert, his tone was flying left to right and it was cool enough in 70's. BM was just pointing out the direction of delay signal to entertain the audience.

  • @hiroism ok! you know I don't know very well these things because I'm a bass player, so thanks 4 the info!

  • però la prima parte è uscita una mezza munnezza.....

  • how did he possibly rip him off? their styles are completely different

  • Keith was Roger's favourite drummer, it's a bit normal if their is similar... it's not ripping off... if people said "YOU RIPPED HIM OFF !!!" each time someone tries to get inspiration from someone else... music would really suck.

  • @lexy67flc he actually stated once that he ripped off mitch mitchell not keith moon

  • THIS SONG REMINDS ME THE THRASH METAL

  • "Alittle people magic if u will"

  • sometimes Roger's vocals are a bit much though

  • they were going throw alot of shit from critics at this time. but they showed all the critics with the shows at earls court. something like 2 23,000 sold out shows. when the critics are saying that rock and roll is dead and decadent music is 6 feet under and that punk music is here to stay. well they were very wrong when queen kept selling out venues and craking america. well queen went far beyond the punk era and even the 80's glam period

  • Brian May is just the most creative and original guitarist ever be. It rocks!!

  • Well...he derived inspiration from some guy called Jimi Hendrix. Brian, Freddie and Roger were all Hendrix freaks. Freddie saw him 13 nights in a row at pubs & clubs around London.

  • Me encanta este tema

  • great song of sheer heart attack=D I love this concert=D QUEEN ROCKS=D

  • FUCK DRAGONFORCE

  • @mexmetal666 I've been waiting for someone to say that for a long time... Thank you :)

  • Rock in it's purest form, only matched by Angus Young, Uli Jon Roth & Mathias Jabs and those guys from Dragonforce & Firewind.

  • dragonforce sucks do not compare them with angus and brian

  • Probably the most overlooked/underrated guitarist in rock history. Saw him live, finally, in 2007. Simply awesome!

  • Hendrix-Clapton-Brian May...Legends ALL

  • a great piece of guitar playing in this song i love it

  • At 2:05 John anticipates the G... look the face Brian does soon after his error!

    Anyway, amazing stuff!

  • I can't tell, is Brian is using a phaser or if that's just tape noise from the age of the recording?

  • it's probably a foxx foot phaser

  • Brian Fucking May, GREAT MASTER

  • briaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaAAAAAAN

  • roger taylor is one of the best singers, listen to ogre battle, in the lap of the gods live at the rainbow and bohemian rhapsody FOR ME, why don't you try singing falsetto, high notes and harmonies at the same time as ultra quick drumming you fat lazy pig

  • Live at the rainbow was abundant with overdubbed vocals......I know it sounds great but almost too good to be true, which in fact it was.

  • danke das ich son alten queen song nochmal live sehn darf :)

  • Brian is almost God... or maybe, should I take off the "almost"?! :D Waooo... Queen the BEST!!!!!!

  • nah, some uppity christains might take offence

  • who cares man? XD

  • great brian...in this song he's the main character

  • He proves that shear speed does not make the best solos all the time, Seeing this live was incredible.

  • best guitar solo ive ever heard

  • this intro rocks

  • brian may is a fuckin great guitarist

  • what a sound

  • I love old school guitarists like brian may cos they make it look like the easiest thing to do in the world

  • That dueling stage between ROger and Brian... Rogers doing that on the hihat, right? I cant tell from the vid b/c of the lighting...

  • YEA ILL WEAVE MY SPELL BIoTCH in my joker outfit. aw yea

  • muy bueno el solo de brian

  • Amazing!! Super freddie

  • Brian May is pretty skillful player. Well i like this, nice video quality and sound is nice

  • Actually, I think you'll find that the delay repeat was created by three 'Echoplex' machines (one left, one right and one mid) and an 'Eventide' rack mount harmoniser was applied to the guitar or vocals through the P.A. by the sound op. The Echoplex tape cartidge had been cut down to the exact timing that was needed to produce natural harmoniously sounding repeats.

  • As far as I know Brian only used two of the Echoplex machines at a time. He had them panned to the amps to the right and left with the middle amp as the dry signal.

  • Brian May is one of my favorite guitarists heavy innovative and clean.

  • true im going to have a simlar tone when i get an ac30 cornish booster and foxx phaser lol i cnt wait

  • good man, very good. Ha i somehow made some sort of tone like that experimenting with line six amps, Its frusterating when you forget to save your creations.

  • Brian May is a BEASTT

  • Maximus est et semper erit

  • @preposterous3637 Not a beast, a God ;)

  • i wish i was there...

  • gosh so do i!

  • nadie podrá igualar a esta banda tan genial

  • NADIE!

  • Around 1974 he was probably using a tape loop or an echoplex to get the repeat effects and multiple guitar harmonies. You had to be very skilled to use this technique. Now we can do this on a POD with ease.

  • if you buy the live at montreal dvd in the comments he says that it was done with TWO delay pedals at once

  • This song really shows Brian Mays guitar skills. During this time period no one else was playing guitar like he was. He took it to another level.

  • so true he played it exact how it sounds on the studio recorded and edited version lol not many guitarists can do that brian may rocks check my videos out please if u want

  • Well, they did sometimes only do the solo at concerts, Brian did it at the Wembley concert in 1986.

  • BS!!!!!!! He didn't even change costumes during this song. Look at songs played after this one. (e.g. ''39'or 'You Take My Breath Away')

  • i wish they kept the song after 79 or whenever they droped it

  • Creo que Brian tiene 10 dedos en cada mano!!!

I think Brian have ten fingers in every hand!!!

  • love queeeeeeeeeeeen so much!!!!!!

  • For a guy who first got his hand on a so-so soundwise Earls court audio bootleg back in the early 80s, I just have to say that this is just amazing sound quality! Just why doesn't Queen clean up some of their classic 70s shows and have them officially released?

  • i no its just like zeppelin and floyd they have great footage but won't release it but u can get it on soulseek if u download it or by torrenting and other of there footage

  • OMG!!! amazing!!!! I LOVE QUEEN!!!!!

  • Queenlive1974, you are missing the last five monutes of the piece. There is a second part to this where Brian plays bits of Frere Jacques and Three Blind Mice in the solo and John and Roger come back out and jam then they play the end of Brighton Rock.

  • Everybody in this venue is entitled to their opinion as that is one of our rights under our US Constitution. The right to free speech. Yes, Queen was a British rock group, but for all the negative people out there, my opinion is Queen was and STILL IS the GREATEST rock group around. I have been a fan since 1973.

  • amen to that, best band ever

  • yea i wish freidde was still alive thou

  • And why is that?

  • the are a great live band

  • I don't like Roger in this one. His voice is kinda obtrusive cause he can't predict the improv that Freddie does with his vocals

  • it was probly his mic set was screwed up at this show like at liar u can hear deacon sing

  • wow this song defines old skool pop/rock music

  • it seems to me like this song could have started hevy metale

  • If anyone knows a better live band, please advise, I do not want to miss seeing them.

  • My 19 year old son has liked metal for a few years. I got him to listen to a couple of Queen songs. Now he likes them. He has to admit "They are Pretty Good",

  • "Pretty Good" my ass... this song is insane... with all respect given to your son... but mygawd, what a band in every aspect!

  • Before they had digital samplers, they had the ECHO-PLEX,which I believe used an analog tape loop to get the echo effect. Brian May definitely took the echo-plex further than anyone else I have ever heard.

  • I love Brian... =D

Btw, does anyone knoe where I can find a video of a very early Brighton Rock, called something like "Brian May's best musical night"? I have it in my favourites, but it's been made private, so I can't watch it :o(

    Anyways, thanks for uploading!

  • Hey, if you find it, let me know. Taxfact aol let me know if you find it. I love Brian May.

  • Beautiful.

  • May can sure play. This is one of their best.

  • The band are enjoying this one!! Vocals drowned out. Fast and hot - Good Queen!!

  • the sheer heart attack album is a tresor ,buy it !

  • the riff kicks ass

  • the cameramen sucked in the 70s

  • Love this song, one of my favorites of queen
