@dapik5 hmm, it's also not bad, but these are two different genres. Haydn is definitely more positive.

Under-appreciated? I don't think so. Anyone who knows anything about figured bass, knows that we all owe much to Bach (JS and CPE), and knows that Haydn, Mozart and Beethoven are inseparable: all are great in their own way.

This is an excellent rendition of the Der Philosoph Sym. Haydn is underappreciated but I am glad someone knows how to rock his music. His String Quartets and Sym.s are the best of the classical period. Bravo on this Sym.....................
