i dont understand how you spin so much? i can only do like one or two spins and i slide down or i just stop and wont spin anymore. can u help me with this please?
I am assuming you can't get the spin on this move unless you have a spinning pole? I have a static x-pole....and now i'm kind of regretting not getting the x-pole that switches between both spinning and static. :(
@bekkbekk90 Correct. But u don't need to spin. I've seen dancers who choose to dance on static and it's still beautiful. It's just a different look that's all
@xooropa yeah, that's all part of pole dancing i'm afraid. The superman was one of the most painful moves to learn for me. You just have to grit your teeth and bear it, until the pain goes away. And yes, pain sensitivity does come back if u don't pole for a while
@MissDirdyBirdy just started attempting the plank (as well as "sitting" on the pole) and wanted to know how long does the pain usually last until it goes away?? lol (i know every body is different, so how long was it for you before the pain wasn't an issue any longer?)
Ok I have a question when you climb to the top And do a pole sit then lean all the way back without hands what are you gripping with? Im askin this bc my thighs don't touch in the middle and it's really hard for me to get grip. I mean I can lean back while holding it but not all the way back. I can't even do a caterpillar climb bc I have no grip there. Any advise?
@ashleynstandridge I think u are talking about the cross ankle release, where u lean all the way back and you're upside down?
I'm assuming you are very thin and this might make it a lil more diffi cult but I have seen slim people do this move. In the C.A.R, you are also using the grip along apart of your thigh as well as the inside of your thigh. So get into the plank, BEFORE you lean back, raise your crossed feet until some of our thigh is touching the pole. Continue below...
Lean back (but don't release hands yet) until u feel the pole pushing against your thigh. This pressure is where the grip is created. Then slowly lean back further and further, until u feel confident to let go of your hands.
Do this with a friend to spot u, if you're on your own do it real close to the ground so that you can support yourself with your arms when u let go of the pole,. Hope all that made sense
Well I've been dancing since mid 2008. I practiced 1-3 times a week when i got my own pole last year. Definitely having my own pole made progress a whole lot faster. But don't be concerned about how long it took me, just concentrate on your progress cause everyone learns at different speed. Good luck
Awesome video! :) i am just beginning to pole and so far ever being able to do that seems impossible, but i'm not planning to give up yet.
Btw, where are you from? I absolutely LOVE your accent!

Ooh we learned this today, the pole burn - OH MY GOD! Hahaha :) Our instructor says it becomes less painful every time you do it, hope she's right!
You're so graceful, you make it look so easy! Beautiful job! :) xx
