@videonut33 This didn't come from Music Oasis/Bruce Upchurch. All KYW jingles since 1987 - which would include this one - originate from the local studios of Second Street Productions.
My feeling is that when Bruce Upchurch composed the KYW-TV news themes, he was told to make it sound as much like the jingle as possible.

Sounds like they used this also in 1994 also when the TV counterpart used the end part of the jingle as their news theme. Made by Music Oasis.
