this album is bad ass, but i really dont think pestilence can ever top consuming impulse. consuming impulse was absolute death metal prefection. i like death way more than pestilence, but i think consuming impulse tops even a few death albums. of corse pestilence has still oviously made some other worthy work of true death metal. pestilence is defanatly one of the reats in death meal

@o8MetalHead8o - couldn't agree with you more. i don't dislike the rest of their albums completely, but they never came close to the complete masterpiece of Death Metal that is Consuming Impulse ever again. that line-up was Pestilence at their peak. the production, the eerie atmosphere of the riffs, and of course Van Drunen's ungodly double-toned throat.
