Brents vocals were amazingly. terribly under-appreciated. his backup (and lead) vocals provided a whole new depth to the music during his tenure, not unlike Pigpen, but I personally think Brent was more impactful.
If only I'd been born ten years earlier in 1970. I would have been 18 in 1988 and I could've caught the last seven years of Dead shows. I became a fan in 1997, what bad luck.
