The media in Tokyo controls impressions of Tokyo, concealing the actual condition like this.

Why do they not compare the numbers to western countries? The homeless rate in Tokyo is actually very low compared to, lets say, Los Angeles. The only reason it is news is that Japan has had extremely low rates since the 1970's. I live here and I can tell you that there are definitely more homeless, but nowhere near what I saw back in the states.
