  • my dad went on tour with this guy

  • He played at my parent's wedding... no joke.

  • insanely amazing

  • 0:31 - what's the name of that song?

  • 1:31 - the most hardcore solo ever.

  • I'm selling my chapman stick.

Don't hesitate contact me for further details.

  • is this fretless? because it looks like he's vibrato

  • @slappingpopping It doesn't have to be fretless to be capable of vibrato. A normal guitar isn't fretless either

  • yea i know but i cant see frets. i know this is pretty low quality but yea i cant even see one line

  • That really beautiful classical example he plays, what is that??

  • @bigbassalex it's called Sangre de Cristo by Greg Howard himself

  • It's like a piano with vibrato and bending functions. So it probably should be the most versatile instrument.

  • This guy is awesome because at first he seems like such a dry, nerdy kind of guy, but god DAMN he can rock hard on that thing. And he makes it look SO fuckin' easy.

  • the stick is one of the most versatile among other instruments, if not the most...you can play rock, metal, ajazz, fusion, all kind of latin rythm...dang it's like playing a universe

  • Great info! I think all questions popping up during the last days one way or the other got solved by watching this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

well, one qurstion remains ... how do I finance this adventure hahaha?

  • hey hey the first song he plays... is that a real song or just a demostration for this video because I love it!!

  • It's called "Charmed Life".

  • I love how versatile this instrument is! Everything from jazz to rock...

For those of you interested, you should check out Kevin Kieth, he's an amazing bassist who is also a great stick player

  • Reminds me somewhat of Kaki Kings guitar playing style.

  • gooooood but actually very expensive..

    it cost abou 2000euros :/

  • Yeah i know, seems a bit overpriced, are there any cheaper alternatives?

  • yeah its called a guitar :P

  • You can have a similar tapping instrument made by Krappy Guitars for about $700

  • *ZING!*

  • megatars are cheaper, and IMHO they sound better, especially if youre a bass guitar convert.and mobius has a really sweet layaway plan as an alternative to cash/credit etc.

  • WOW! Thats all I can say butt!

    Wow bloody Wow!

  • he reminds me of dante from clerks

  • Yeah I know. Maybe he too wasn't supposed to be there that day.

  • Great!

    More great innovation at RHYTHMTANDEM.

  • OMG!!

that's incredibly awesome!..what a guy who invented this!...I only knew about this instrument from whats his name...the WONDERFUL Tony Levin!

  • I like the first example, sounds upbeat and fun.

Anyone know the name of that first song?

  • what's the song at 0:55?????

  • it's called Sangre de Cristo, off the 1997 album called Sol, which was a spanish influenced album.

  • Man I remember seeing Tony Levin in 83 with King Crimson, guys are awsome, now this guy is fantastic. My other favorite Bass player is Percy Jones, look him up man, he is fantastic!

  • i love his tone for the little solo at the end

  • ...It is electric...and you can use distortion...go buy it ;D

  • Ugh.... I cant rub my stomach and tap my head at the same time, but i have always loved the thought of playing either a chapman or a warr guitar. they just seem like so much fun.

  • WOW... WHAT IS THE SONG AT 1:30

  • That sounds like the solo bit from the Hendrix version of All Along the Watchtower.

  • Whats the name of the song he play at 0:50??

  • it's "Sangre De Cristo". it should be available on his website through an mp3.

  • This stick is amazing I want to know more. mikey

  • That guy is out of control. Sick.

  • Listen to The Dreaming Tree by Dave Matthews Band. Greg plays some fabulous stick on that song.

  • That is the craziest instrument i have ever seen. It looks like it takes so much concentration and you really seem like have to know all you scales, keys, and progressions to play it. That groove at 1:30 is amazing!

  • thats basically stairway to heaven...or watchtower....either way its an a-g-f progression

  • Or the song around 57 seconds?

  • does anyone know what the first song he was playing was?

  • The song in the first example is called "Charmed Life." It's from his CD called Stick Figures.

  • or was it all along the watchtower

  • HOLY CRAP!!!

Stair way to heaven at the end was freaking AMAZING

    thats one sick insturment

  • Yeah Greg, you certainly are making music!

  • omg. i need to drop the 4 string and get one of those sticks

  • man...kinda turns me on this music o.o

  • this guy is freaking amazing!

  • wow never seen 1 of these b4 .... hope i see em agane
