Is it bad to prime like cylinder like that before you start it? I always do that on my cr125 before I start it. Are you robbing the cylinder of lubrication when primming it like that?

your chain needs 3 fingers of slack by the front sprocket guide, when your suspension compreses it will snap the chain if its too tight...

No not in any way. Its no different to the drivetrain whether its in the air or on dirt. The chain wasn't too loose either. In fact it should be a bit looser than it was for the track.
