some guys might laugh but this is really fundamental and I see a lot of highschool and park ballers having no clue how to set even a basic screen right and move off the ball ... so this vid is more helpful then the usual shooting, dribble etc. advices ...

(2nd Part) As soon as second defender commits to ballhandler, the person setting the screen can cut to the basket, resulting in pick 'n roll. If defender 2 chooses to remain with screen setter and not pursue ballhandler, BH can pull-up shoot / drive to the basket.

If he rubs shoulders though, defender can go underneath screen if ball handler is not streaky shooter. Screen should be placed not so the defender runs exactly into the screen setter. It should be set in an "offset" motion, where the defender is given barely enough room to go "over" the screen. At this point, defender will be behind the ballhandler, promting second defender to commit or "switch" on the screen.

who goes "through" screens...thats like asking to get knocked down. go AROUND them, which kinda ruins the whole curl thing. going around a screen can be dangerous cuz the guy can go back to the side he came from and ur a 2 feet away from him, but this idiot doesnt include the fact that the guy setting the pick will have a defender near him that can pick you up once the pick breaks u off of him....

no no no, you got it all wrong. you gently rub their shoulders, it's kind of an indication to stand still. if the screen doesn't stand still, the ref will blow the whistle
