"Jesus forgive me of my Sins and come into my life" MEAN IT WITH ALL YOUR HEART, and BAM your saved~! Love God with all your heart till the day you die...you'll find it's a fun filled trip instead of being in a Monastery held up in somewhere in a cubicle BUT GOD BLESS THEM TO THEY'RE SAVED ALSO following their personal journey in their own way...
He forgot you gotta be saved. Being Born Again is good enough you don't have to be a Priest and join a Monastery you can't really feed the unsaved by holding up in a Monastery, BUT for some it blocks out the world and devotes all your time on God which is GREAT...But you don't have to be a Priest to Saved or take a journey to MECCA to be saved
would you have to get a big beard to be a monk? Just kidding but seriously the big beard and and priest/monk thing seems like the norm for some reason any reason why?
In Orthodoxy, it is tradition that, after being tonsured as a monk, one cannot shave. This tradition is from the Nazarene. Also, Bishops usually have to be a monk, or at least tonsured a monk, to be a bishop as it is required. So, Bishops will likely always have some kind of beard!
