Do we really want our new generation to be like this? As parents and future parents we need to remember that we're responsible.

It's not about the specific things the kids are mimicking, rather, the point is simply, to be aware of the choices you make, and how you conduct yourself because children learn by watching and repeating everything from basic sensorimotor functions, temperamental dispositions and habits. Of course, there are a lot of other variables that come into play, but it makes a very good point.
First: Yes, showing people what consequences their bad behavior has on their children can of course change them, at least when they care about their children. Second: When you watch that clip again, in the last scene, you see a man and his son helping a woman who lost her groceries. After "Children see, children do" is shown and right before the advice "Make your influence positive" is given. I don't consider this campaign a fail.

First: Yes, showing people what consequences their bad behavior has on their children can of course change them, at least when they care about their children. Second: When you watch that clip again, in the last scene, you see a man and his son helping a woman who lost her groceries. After "Children see, children do" is shown and right before the advice "Make your influence positive" is given. I don't consider this campaign a fail.

It didn't take me two times to understand this video, but if you prefer to infer that other people are dumb and must repeat such basic tasks, then that's your right, after all you're free to misconduct (maybe you were grown up like that). 2. My point was (ad still is) that showing a long series of bad behaviors and finishing with one little example of good behavior is inefficient, in terms of psychology. People will understand the message (as you did and as I did) that is explicitly told at the hand, but it will not change their behavior. To put it in a nutshell, the ad is too negative to work.

We are our children's number one 'mirror' for how to react, respond, feel and behave. This clip is powerful and I see the results of children modelling their parents thoughts, beliefs and behaviour all the time. Be careful what you are because your children will either become it or react against it.

Powerful. ...and yet exactly right. There is much that they learn from adults around them about what's right and wrong. Every day I hear my 3-year-old repeating what she's heard us say. My 1-year-old now holds the TV remote to his ear and pretends to talk on it just as he sees us do with the phone. Fortunately, I'm proud of the things they copy. Being a good role model is important, even if you don't have kids, because someone else's kid may think the world of you.

@malequemed The point is not to infer that children are idiots, but to remind people that they are impressionable and learn through example. Children watch the way that people around them behave and interact with one another and these actions influence the way that they will behave as they grow. Their personalities are shaped by their experiences and if they expereince negativity, it WILL have a detrimental effect on them in some way. If you don't realize that, then you're the idiot.
