  • I cried at the clip where the dad was beating the mum... my dad used to beat me and my mum too.

  • This is too deterministic. No such thing as good or bad examples, just examples. You either follow them or you don't.

  • The last two clips remind me of what my mom used to do to me. :(

  • Absolutely 100% true. Children are so easily influenced that we need to be sure not to enforce negative interaction.

I've seen children who've grown into young adults and have made the same decisions as their parents. Now one is pregnant at seventeen with no job and no baby father, one drinks heavily, one is into heavy drugs, another has physically abused his family.

Do we really want our new generation to be like this? As parents and future parents we need to remember that we're responsible.

  • so touching, maybe i'm more senzitive, but i feel like crying now :((

  • @RQxana I always wondered why being sensitive was a flaw or a weakness. That's makes us human. I'm revolted when I heard that men who are sensitive are "fags" (God I hate this word). What are the men who beat women, then? Real men? Oh no they're not. They're not even animals.

  • @rugbytlse I agree, but the violent people invented the word "fag" just to justify their bad behavior, I just said that is so sad just to watch the video, I can't imagine living it...

  • @RQxana and it's just 3 letter long so that their dried raisin between their ears can assimilate the word.

  • I'm a school teacher, there's only so much that a teacher can do to shape children... Parents please care for you child... They are our future, your future, everyone's future.

  • @kei86 It is frustrating to see the effort you make everyday as a teacher to shape children being destroyed every evening when the child gets back to his family. Maybe these families need help but they don't know / want to ask help from anybody. Families where violence (verbal/physical/psychological) is the rule are also victims of the vicious circles they're trapped in since their own childhood, maybe even before. It need a lot of courage and will to break that circle.

  • @rugbytlse It is frustrating to see the effort you make everyday as a teacher to shape children being destroyed every evening when the child gets back to his family.

I wanted to let you know that as a teacher you do make a difference in kids' lives. Some of the most memorable people in my childhood were my teachers. So stick to it, and remember that even if you don't get thanked a lot for the effort you put in, I bet you are making a huge difference in kids' lives.

    Peace.

  • the part of the dad and son telling the immigrant guy to go back where he came from made me cry :(

  • this explains why MOST black people are fucked up. they are too stupid to see that when your baby is 1 their not supposed to know how to piss in a toilet. why cant they learn? dont get me wrong ive met many wonderful africans but relly something went wrong with that race..

  • We have advanced so far. archieve so many. We made nature bend to our will and have become God of this planet. Yet we fail to understand the mechanism of our Reality, of our life, of our action and consequence. We fail to understand the most simple things in life like, that every one hold the power to make this place either a hell or a Paradise.

  • 1:23 What a nice ending.

  • And that's how the cookie crumbles.... indeed very sad.

  • my father... is just an idiot emo.

he always thought he was the only one who suffered and nobody understood him , but in fact , he's just keep drinking beers everyday , and think over about it. Someday , he's gone crazy and act like idiot , yells at his family , hurt the ones who love him , and end up with thinking about how unlucky he is.

I don't know what the fuck is wrong with him , but I refuse to be like my father , and I hate drinking alchohol because of him.

  • @Thaibiohazard123 dear friend, do not follow their example. You must be hard to understand that he does not want change, should do everything possible to get away. My father died of alcoholism when I was nine years. flee and save your family! BE STRONG .. NO FOLLOW HIS EXAMPLE.

  • @giselle1612

Thanks buddy , but don't worry. I think I'm strong enough.

I'm a man , so one day I will have my own family. I swear to myself , I will not make mistakes that he did.

sigh..... he's not a good man. But at least , when he doesn't drink alchohol , he's still be a good father

  • @Thaibiohazard123 Darling, you break my heart .. I know you love your father, but he has to change some things that hurt. Help him to change, but if ignored, you should get away from it .. I know it hurts, but we should be fine with us. Luckily, my heart is with you.

  • @Thaibiohazard123 He may have suffered from family violence during his childhood and is afraid/ashamed to talk about it, as he was taught real men deal with this kind of problems. His violent and addictive behavior may be the only releases he found. You may be the first one to break the vicious circle. Congratulations. It's a good thing for you and the ones you love you hate drinking alcohol.

  • @Thaibiohazard123 i´ve had the same problem... fortunately my dad´s finally accepted to get help. hope you can somehow get him to seek treatment too because alcoholism as well as other illnesses really do harm the whole family...

  • As mudanças de hoje não se deve a evolução das crianças mais sim a dos pais, são eles o alicerce principal de uma criação.

  • kent´s song

  • This version has a song, written and performed for the campaign, with the lyrics, “It looks like rain again today, dark clouds gather, fill the sky. Don’t know how to talk to you, just know how to say goodbye.”

  • does anyone know who sings this song?

  • WTF 0:45 the child did the dirty finger!! :D

  • Dis is nice...agree of dis...

  • that's my boy!

  • the part with the kid flipping the other car was pretty darn cool if you ask me.

and at 0:50 with the racist dude where's the immigrants son that gets back at him by not putting in enough starch.

morale of the story don't mess with the guys cleaning your clothes.

  • Lame!

  • I'm gonna change a few things

  • @MotherPlaneRC Good for you! When we know better we should do better. ;-)

  • This is powerful.

  • Id be proud of my boy if he put an oriental in their place

  • If parents love their children so much, then why are they encouraging them to browse the internet? You can't google without finding corruption, like porn. You can't Youtube unless you find Tabby Ridiman and other forms of corruption to idolize. I mean these teen girls are having sex, having babies, just like Tabby did, and then trying to be internet stars. Attention whores. Our kids are being encouraged when a parent says its okay. We are failing the next generation. Internet isnt for kids.

  • @highnote606 It's impossible take off the internet from children. But it's possible to give a good example of how the use of internet can be positive.

  • Congratulations.

  • Thought provoking. And I think it is even true for adults to be influenced by the people around them, mimicking and paroting what people around them do.. An illustration of this is people picking up accents.

  • Can anyone please tell me which song has been used???? Please...i liked the song..

  • the last part made me so pissed

  • @halo3playingsucker Yeah, when the guy was helping that lady pick up her shit from the ground really pissed me off. He should have kicked her in the face.

  • Brutal.

    Powerful.

    Though Evoking.

    Everything a PSA should be.

  • The last image is so painfull >.<

  • @BlauAngst I know it makes me cringe every time

  • This is such an important commercial.

  • Grande responsabilidade que os pais tem nas mãos.

    Esta é para pensar...

  • Our Dutch "SIRE" commercials used to be confronting like this, but they forgot how to be provocative and aggressive.

The old ones used to be packed with a much more powerfull language than the ones we have now.

  • veru nice clip for parent...hi parent, how about your chirdren!!!

  • aw that poor mom/sis she has to abusers :(

  • @digimon675 two**

  • very moving.. but the ones who give attention to these commercials are thge ones who are ok. and the ones who should give attention to this, just don't.. :/

  • FUCK,the guy who made it is a fucking genius

  • Kids don't hear everything you say, but they see everything you do.

  • what's the name of the song in the video?

  • What I Honestly Think Is Dumb About Raising A Child Is Even Though You Dont Tell Him To Swear Drink Smoke Watch Inappropriate Stuff Soon Once They Are Adults They Drink Smoke Swear etc. And For Parents Dont Do That Shit Around Kids Honestly They Are Going To Thinks Its The Right To Do When It Isnt Thats The Message This Commercail Is Telling You

  • Excellent ~ powerful ~ and a strong reminder. They are always watching.

  • /watch?v=8VknnWhtvI0

  • Fuck! How my son is cursing at school?

  • Caralho! Como assim meu filho fala palavrão na escola? Porra, eu não falo palavrão em casa...

  • I bet u in the future we'll have english exams that include clips we can somehow press play over and over...and we'll be asked a question like, how does the clip impact the viewer into sympathy etc..

  • it's very god this becase shows the reality in the towns

  • This video shows adults behaving like children.

  • make your influence positive,

don't allow gays to have kids, lol

  • that really makes me want to change my lil nauber back when she was 7 and i was 13 she cut herself after seeing the cuts on my arms and im afraind my neice will do the same and im afraid that theyll stop eating when they notice me not ever eating

  • what is happening in the last last scene, after the "children see, children do"

  • @katouatou It shows a man and his son helping a women pick up something she dropped I think. So it fits with the "make your influence positive" thing.

  • so sad and true

  • What can I say

    Shit happends!

  • We need this ad in Canada

  • Um trabalho espetacular, que diz tudo com imagens e apenas 3 palavras no final. Muito bom!!!

  • I couldn't tell if it was funny or sad...I'll settle with both.

  • Truely Powerful

  • WOW Powerful message

    Thank you

  • Children are like sponges they often learn behaviors that are exposed to

We have a duty to help children grow in a healthy sound environment

    Please love your children

  • @ArtByLindaLee i killed my last baby and my wife helped me.

  • @ArtByLindaLee Thats why people are so screwed up now a days.

  • Excelent video! It's a powerull way to demostrate how the child do that the adults do. It's a good example to demostrate, in a visual way, how our actions influence to the future generations. I repeat: Excelent!

    Congratulations.

Note: I'm learning english;sorry for the errors...

  • This is a symbolic representation that transcends the literal actions represented in the video. It's not about the specific things the kids are mimicking, rather, the point is simply, to be aware of the choices you make, and how you conduct yourself because children learn by watching and repeating everything from basic sensorimotor functions, temperamental dispositions and habits. Of course, there are a lot of other variables that come into play, but it makes a very good point.

  • This video makes me cry, those kids have reallybeen affected by their stupid parents!!!

  • Does anyone know this song??

    Could u reply me?

    thanks.

  • @AndreBortoni justin bieber - baby

  • @sakitzperutz GOOD JOB CHAMPS

  • @AndreBortoni Obrigado muito. se você é um fã de Justin Bieber também. Eu tenho um monte de cartazes em casa. talvez possamos compartilhar.

  • como disse nosso chf, nao basta dizer o que fazer....

no go say etica, and say what etica

  • don't always blame the kids for acting bad or not doing something good, parents have the unavoidable responsibility.

  • Will showing negative behavior induce people to behave positively ? I doubt it very much and I see #FAIL in this campaign. EPIC FAIL.

  • @becomepostal

First: Yes, showing people what consequences their bad behavior has on their children can of course change them, at least when they care about their children. Second: When you watch that clip again, in the last scene, you see a man and his son helping a woman who lost her groceries. After "Children see, children do" is shown and right before the advice "Make your influence positive" is given. I don't consider this campaign a fail.

  • @Selinja Thank you for having explained to me the video and its content, Captain Obvious. It didn't take me two times to understand this video, but if you prefer to infer that other people are dumb and must repeat such basic tasks, then that's your right, after all you're free to misconduct (maybe you were grown up like that). I Hope you will stop acting like that when you will get clear enough negative feedbacks (I am clear enough, I will not ask you to read my sentences twice).

  • @becomepostal

So you did not get the video the first time even though it's quite foolproof, and after I've patiently and politely explained it to you, you hate me now. And why? For making you prove that you are to unintelligent and depraved to approve a great spot with a clear message? Well, I hope you stop acting like a narcisstic three-year-old at least before you procreate, for this spot shows what will otherwise come from this. I honestly wish you success in growing up. Have a nice day.

  • @Selinja

    1. I don't hate you.

    2. My point was (ad still is) that showing a long series of bad behaviors and finishing with one little example of good behavior is inefficient, in terms of psychology. People will understand the message (as you did and as I did) that is explicitly told at the hand, but it will not change their behavior. To put it in a nutshell, the ad is too negative to work.

    3. OK you were polite with me. Thanks.

    4. Your words prove your criticism may be applied to yourself.

  • Dispensa comentários ...

  • Dispensa comentários .... Há q se pensar ...

  • God help them. I thank the Lord my mother and father love me much. and they care for me

  • This is oh so true. Be Careful who is watching!

  • Muy buen video!!!

  • Please GOD, let us the parents understand that our children are gifts from heaven. Dios, por favor permite q nosotros los padres entendamos que nuestros hijos son regalitos del cielo.

  • We are our children's number one 'mirror' for how to react, respond, feel and behave. This clip is powerful and I see the results of children modelling their parents thoughts, beliefs and behaviour all the time. Be careful what you are because your children will either become it or react against it.

  • Powerful. ...and yet exactly right. There is much that they learn from adults around them about what's right and wrong. Every day I hear my 3-year-old repeating what she's heard us say. My 1-year-old now holds the TV remote to his ear and pretends to talk on it just as he sees us do with the phone. Fortunately, I'm proud of the things they copy. Being a good role model is important, even if you don't have kids, because someone else's kid may think the world of you.

  • that is a really really good ad.

  • I hate it when people compare child intelligence with Monkey Intelligence.

  • @bluegama500 i know im a kid thats retarted

  • @bluegama500 -They are not trying to say a child's intellect is like a monkey's. It is saying that you, everyone, and especially children are influenced by their surroundings. Be aware of your thoughts, words, and actions. They all contribute to our world.

  • @graycelikerain Yes but they don't completely copy their parents. People think children are just stupid and cant think for themselves. Some people are naturally smarter than others. Some kids are smarter than some adults.

  • @bluegama500 I do agree with you. The commercial is exaggerated, but I believe it is only to get the point across... :)

  • Ya no me acordaba de este anuncio televisivo. Impresionante. Evidentemente los niños toman ejemplo de sus padres o mayores.

  • impressionante

  • Oh Allah, let all "adults" see this video and make them rethink their actions, inch'Allah!

  • Become part of the Heal the world foundation!

  • WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT?? THE ONLY POINT THIS VIDEO PROVES IS THAT CHILDREN ARE IDIOTS :| OMGGG WAKE UP PEOPLE!!! CHILDREN WOULD NEVER IMITATE LIKE THAT, OR ELSE THOSE CHILDREN FROM THE AD ARE MENTALY RETARDED... WHAT A FUCKIN STUPID AD...

  • @malequemed The point is not to infer that children are idiots, but to remind people that they are impressionable and learn through example. Children watch the way that people around them behave and interact with one another and these actions influence the way that they will behave as they grow. Their personalities are shaped by their experiences and if they expereince negativity, it WILL have a detrimental effect on them in some way. If you don't realize that, then you're the idiot.

  • @malequemed Wow. If you can't see in between the lines of this video than I'm pretty sure you're the idiot.

  • i get most upset at the animal part. Animals are alive aswell and what makes it worse is that they can't talk and tell us whats happened to them. :/ x

  • such a great message!

  • Think about it!! Our children are our next generation. If they are taught these habits, what happens to the generations down???

  • @zxl345 wanna come to live in europe then?? lol. we can't stand our neighbours and sometimes we can't even stand ourselves. =D

  • and i thought australians were laid back and friendly people...

  • @DrVyruzz :)

  • this add has a really important message

there r way to many shitty parents in the world that dont know how to raise decent human beings. and too many fucking ppl not getting abortions when they know they dont have the resources to raise a child properly. like seriously, this is why there is so much selfishness in this world

  • o-O 1:04 i neva knew a mother could go insane at its baby...

  • @DaMatta11 Nurture vs Nature...Plz don't hold Yourself accountable as You can Teach Ur Child But The Child Will Choose Inevitibly

  • @DaMatta11 And of course you should blame Lady Gaga. But I think you should blame Canada. Or if she burn her fingers, you should blame matches for it. Never, yourself.

  • @DaMatta11 Children see, children do. it is obviously they watch lady gaga too much

  • @DaMatta11 and why the hell you allow her to watch thaat???? try classical music orchestas xD

  • @DaMatta11 i think that internet is more affected them

  • There are two songs used in the NAPCAN ad. The Soma Films online version has Rabbit in your headlights, sung by Thom Yorke for Unkle. The NAPCAN online version has a song, written and performed for the campaign, with the lyrics, It looks like rain again today, dark clouds gather, fill the sky. Dont know how to talk to you, just know how to say goodbye.

  • parents b careful what u do-- your kidz will carry on what u do!
