None of us, not a single fan, would care if they end up making like 6 movies, 3 hrs a piece, just to tell the story from book 1, as long as they make them awesome...

The movie sucked! and i have more complaints: the earth bending was horrible, aang wasn't this goofy kid, insted he was serious, zuko's scar wasn't as detailed, fire benders had to have fire around them in order to fire bend. there is so much crap in this movie i can't even list them all! but, even though this movie was horrbile, i am still an Avatar the Last Airbender animated series fan.
@JaxxTheKnight Budgets' got nothin to do with it. He completely missed the symbolism in many aspects, made stupid choices (um, hello? What kind of earthbending prison would have walls of dirt??? And if firebenders can't create fire, how the heck does that make them capable of taking over the world? It just doesn't make sense), and butchered all the characters. I could go on and on about this. If he dares make another... Ugh.

I went to see it with my twin brother and he fell asleep, but when we got towards the end when Aang suppose to destroy the Fire Nation's fleet, we thought we finally gonna see some real action but we all know that shit never happened....We were so disappointed, and I was salty I wasted my damn money on that shit. My god, Aang was Aang, just pronounce different... like how asian cultures would have pronounced it. Plus it was BASED on the cartoon, not a complete reflection of it. And thrid, none of you realize that Paramount cut M. Night's budget at last minute as it was suppose to be a "Kids' Movie" which obviously Paramount has never seen how long Harry Potter was each movie.

the only scene where the movie actually seemed epic was when Aang or "Eng" in the movie was making the tsunami, that looked cool. Everything else sucked.

Well, this guy needs to go for serious lessons on how to cut stories short. He made long jumps from part to part of the cartoon series and left great cannions open where a lot of detail needed to be. He couldn't even finnish Book 1. Too much was left out and changed. That's how hard it is to make live action movies based on cartoons. Many stories must be cut short without leaving any detail out and still tell the whole story of the cartoon and still make a good movie. He doesn't have the IQ.

@ShowWizard104 Have you really payed good attention to what happened in the movie? From the start they screwed the whole thing up. I'm just going to refer to the start of the movie's opening. Sokka and Katara went out on the water with their boat to try to catch a fish, not out on land for a good hunt to try to kill a tigerseal for a nice dinner. They were in their boat when Katara splashed water on him when she wanted to show him that she caught a fish. They didn't even argue in the movie.

I haven't seen the movie yet, but I can tell when I see a bad movie for sure. I have the whole series and it's the best of Nick. I like the 3 Avatar deformed short, they're hilarious. I like the one about the guys who try to ask the girls out to the dance the most. Avatar Roku and the library spirit owl look the silliest to me. This cartoon show is one of the very few ones that I really like to watch over and over and never get tired of it.

I fell asleep the first time I watched it on DVD, and when I woke up and continued watching it, it looked like I missed out a huge chunk of the movie. Then I rewound it to where I dozed off and suddenly I thought "WHOA! That was only 5 MINUTES!?!?!"

I have got to be one of Avatar: The Last Airbender's biggest fans. I have all 3 seasons on DVD, I've made t-shirts, and I have a cosplay idea in-progress. I have decided that the movie was so bad that I could make a batter one myself with people I know as the cast. I've actually started making an outline for it so that it can include as much as possible while keeping it within 2 hours. (M. Night's movies are always 90 minutes) I am staying true to the plot, the characters, AND making it better.
I LOVE M. Night Shymalan. He is my idol. I thought he could never make a horrible movie. That is... until he did what he did to Avatar. He was out of his relm here, this isn't his style. He's good at suspense and story telling. Not turning cartoons into live action films. He's still my idol but I don't know what he was thinking when doing this.

I liked the movie and yes I'm a huge fan of the cartoon series as well. I just didn't go into the theatre expecting it to follow the series exactly. That would be impossible. And for the record, Momo's name is mentioned once, just saying lol don't hate on me either, this is just my opinion :P

Well, this guy needs to go for serious lessons on how to cut stories short. He made long jumps from part to part of the cartoon series and left great cannions open where a lot of detail needed to be. He couldn't even finnish Book 1. Too much was left out and changed. That's how hard it is to make live action movies based on cartoons. Many stories must be cut short without leaving any detail out and still tell the whole story of the cartoon and still make a good movie. He doesn't have the IQ.

Plus the reason why Aangs name is pronounced that was is because that's how your really supposed to pronounce it Like Aong. It's still spelled the same way. Like Sokkas is Sukka or something like that? I personally liked it, it wasn't horrible I mean I have seen WORSE real life movies.

@ShowWizard104 Have you really payed good attention to what happened in the movie? From the start they screwed the whole thing up. I'm just going to refer to the start of the movie's opening. Sokka and Katara went out on the water with their boat to try to catch a fish, not out on land for a good hunt to try to kill a tigerseal for a nice dinner. They were in their boat when Katara splashed water on him when she wanted to show him that she caught a fish. They didn't even argue in the movie.

@Pantbera Well that's your perspective, I liked it personally. They whole movie was easy for me to understand, it wasn't that hard to understand and Appa and Momo looked cute to me. IDC what you said I liked it and it was the best $10 I spent for the movie on my iPod.

The only reason why he made this movie was because he knew of the fanbase and just wanted to make a quick buck.

He made this movie because he saw it on TV with his daughters and thought it was really cool, I have watched his thing on the production of "The Last Airbender" on Nickelodeon and why he made these changes. The reason for the Warriors was because it took to much time on the movie, it would be twice as long now, find out WHY he made these changes don't just judge the movie as SOON as u see it and not know why he did them.

First of all I have been researching way before on this movie on the racebending and his directing background and everything else because Avatar is a pretty big deal to Asian Americans, and I do know about the behind the scenes and everything, and yes I am judging him after I saw the interviews and everything on why he changed things and it still sucked. I haven't seen the movie yet, but I can tell when I see a bad movie for sure. I have the whole series and it's the best of Nick. I like the 3 Avatar deformed short, they're hilarious. I like the one about the guys who try to ask the girls out to the dance the most. Avatar Roku and the library spirit owl look the silliest to me. This cartoon show is one of the very few ones that I really like to watch over and over and never get tired of it.

I fell asleep the first time I watched it on DVD, and when I woke up and continued watching it, it looked like I missed out a huge chunk of the movie. Then I rewound it to where I dozed off and suddenly I thought "WHOA! That was only 5 MINUTES!?!?!"

I have got to be one of Avatar: The Last Airbender's biggest fans. I have all 3 seasons on DVD, I've made t-shirts, and I have a cosplay idea in-progress. I have decided that the movie was so bad that I could make a batter one myself with people I know as the cast. I've actually started making an outline for it so that it can include as much as possible while keeping it within 2 hours. (M. Night's movies are always 90 minutes) I am staying true to the plot, the characters, AND making it better.

I LOVE M. Night Shymalan. He is my idol. I thought he could never make a horrible movie. That is... until he did what he did to Avatar. He was out of his relm here, this isn't his style. He's good at suspense and story telling. Not turning cartoons into live action films. He's still my idol but I don't know what he was thinking when doing this.

There is absolutly no avatar fan that likes the movie including me and al of the fans in this video were right and i back em up 100%! The biggest mistake m night made was putting an entire book 1 water in one F-ing movie, it's not possible and he should've known that by watching the series. I call 4 a new 1st movie and new cast were charcters look a like, can act and they get more depth and also FUCKING FIREBENDERS TO FIREBEND THEMSELFES NOT BY CAGES WITH FIRE IN IT. And mention AANG, AANG!!! XD

hey guys see at the top of the title? M Night Shyamala? that right htere tells you it will suck dick. he has never and will never put out a good movie. i was fuckinpsyched about it till i saw the director and said "omfg there goes one of my fave series" though i did give it a shot and just watched it they fucked it up a lot but truth be told not as bad as they could have. i missed kiyoshi warriors/sokka's later love and the other main part they cut was the north air temple the gimp and inventor
