I still wonder, there's nothing wrong with the show after he died, but I would of preferred to have him on the show the whole way through, why did he die?

I know Paul enjoyed being on the show, and I'll bet everyone else enjoyed him being on it including the other cast members, all the crew, and all the fans, so why?

Killing him was a mistake, bringing him back was a bigger one.

Desperation move to keep their fans happy knowing full well cancellation was potentially around the corner. Not that I totally disagree with it, but considering how much he was actually *IN* Atlantis after this, you have to wonder how worthwhile it was.

Carson returns as a clone created by Michael to assist him with his reseach on Human-Wraith mixing experiments. It is revealed that Carson's health is at risk because his body begins to decay due to cloning process. He is put into a stasis chamber in the hope that a cure will be found eventually. I think that if they really wanted to bring him back it would be fairly easy. Since Jack O'neill went to a similar phase when an Asgard cloned him. Having the Asgard database, they could find a cure
