A few weeks ago, my present was getting hit by a car while waiting to cross the road. It will be a year before my leg is working properly - hopefully. I'd say that "moment" was pretty wrong, as was the moment my wife arrived to see me lying in the road.
Now, I've been fine with it all, and very positive about the recovery, but I would argue that there are moments that are "wrong" and you can't be this absolute in any belief.
@anitabhagawan Deepak was born in 1946 (he is 64 yrs old). I must say that he is extremely intelligent, beyond imagination! I saw him live a few years ago and he is simply incredible.
Until one really unfolds. They'll always focus on judging another ones growth! They'll continue to say misguided things like:heresy, evil lies, etc; Ones own limitations causes them to stay stagnant. After one gains many years of inward growth like "Deepak" Then,a greater appreciation for what he is generally not known in status as! Which is a "Bhakti Yogic Master" will become more understood and appreciated!
P.S.Your blinded comments mean nothing towards the quest of finding the Greater truths!

"God is a projection of our highest instinct to know ourselves." Deepak Chopra........Chopra is NOT a christian. He doesn't even believe in the Christian God. Yet he is writing books about Christ and the Christian God. Putting God in such a small box or any box at all is called Idolatry. God is not what Chopra claims but is much more. Chopra want you to believe that you are your own God, that God is just an extension of you. It is heresy and an evil lie.
"Chopra want you to believe that you are your own God, that God is just an extension of you." is correct. I can show you many proofs in india if you really serious to know and serious to care about this issue. There are many yogis who reached divine state. Even near my home town i can show you two such Yogis. One more thing there is nothing like heresy or blasphemy. You have to question everything to know truth. Don't take all for granted.
Ofcourse, give a reply to me only if you are serious.
@infiniteinterests Not that I have ever doubted what I believe, but I was pleased to hear Dr. Chopra state what I've always thought, that is we are our own God in that He is in OUR hearts and we have to hold ourselves to be true to what He desires us to be.
Dr, Chopra, Deepak my friend, you sir sir truly are a marvelous guide and servant during these times of trouble. Thanks for all you have brought to this world and thanks to the great spirit for living through you so well.
Magnificent isnt it? The good doctor is not only a mentor, he is like a responsible father to his children. So generous to impart this useful, vital and practical knowledge to the internet. Some mentors wont do such thing on the internet. The way he explain things is truly logical and very clear, so easy to understand, he's like talking to a child.
Lack of mythology doesn't cause violence. Look at islamic terrorists. They live and breathe nothing but a particular brand of mythology. Maybe its a metaphor for lack of cultural reinforcement from family and community that gangs don't have, but you aren't a guru just because you can ascribe new meanings to words that they didn't have before.
Yes, aging isn't 100% consistent, person to person, but perception has no bearing on it. It has more to do with the genes you're born with and life choices, like if you smoke or not. Simply willing something into existence doesn't make it so though. I mean, you can will something and make it happen through physically working toward that goal, but that's completely different. He's a really good public speaker, but his message has little to no true substance to it.
He's also taking basic common sense and blowing it up into something larger than what it is. Yes, lower stress levels do have an effect on aging. When the body's forced to work harder or you're exposed to harmful chemicals, it causes cellular decay.Events are gonna pass by whether you want them to or not. I suppose we can get more appreciation out of life, but its just common sense being repackaged to sound new. Kids join gangs, because they don't have a family. Myths have nothing to do with it.
Why do we spen billions on defense and billions on weapons? Its because we hae to defnd from other human from killing the hll out of us. Surviival ofthe fittest!
I adore Deepak and have for a very long time. He's been my teacher via his books and videos for over 10 years. I love seeing all of these wonderful, loving, positive responses to him. It warms my heart and gives me hope that we just might evolve. ;) Oh, and an old friend used to say, "Notice his name ... Deeeeeeeeeeep-ak, cuz this guy is SO deep!" He had that right. lol Namaste.
I love this guy. Did any notice that at about 2 minutes in, he says "time Doesn't exist" and he is doing an interview for "Time" magazine, LOL just thought that was really ironic lol
Deepak is certainly one of the foremost "spiritual" teachers of our time and I read and respect his books. He is a guide to me.
However, I would have asked, in response to his saying that depression is caused by past or future, live in the present comment: "What if your present moment finds you waking up to a rebel army storming through your house cutting off the arms of you and your family?"
I'm glad that I had time to watch this video. Deepak is a beautiful soul. I love listening to him. I also love listening to tapes of Joseph Campbell. I enjoyed the Hero's Journey. For those who are depressed and can't get out bed (unlike Deepak!) or are just not in a good mood right off bat, try placing fresh colorful flowers in your bedroom. Something beautiful you see at first sight...
I wish he could start teaching me how to live my life, let alone 7 billion people.
