i tried playing the kingdoms of amalur reckoning demo for the 360 but as i booted it up a message from ea said i needed to set up some kind of account. I left before even reading through what it had to say. Why the hell would i have sign up for anything to play a fucking demo!!? Now there isn't a chance of me buying the game because although there are alternate ways to find out about the game, nothing compares to actually getting to play a part of it

Event, you say RE6 is looking like Gears of Evil, but you have to understand that Gears of War got its style from RE4. They can make the series action oriented like RE4 was, I just hated how you were armed to the teeth in those games with ammo and health midwway through the game. I also hated the emphasis on killing things. In the old RE games, if you saw something big, you ran away. Now, you can just shoot you way out of situations, and I hate that. Dead Space is like the only SH series left.
@EventStatus btw event I was IN LOVE with SW:TOR. When the fix came out and the new ILUM DAILIES came out. There was no-fucking-way to get dailies done if you rolled republic and the Imps had more numbers and out-geared you. I rolled on a server where when there was 7-8 of us republic on ILUM on cap level there was at least a raid and a half of Imperials that just rick-rolled us. I have since went back to WoW and am awaiting a fix. IF ANY. If none suffice I am unsubbing this month.
I've only played resident evil umbrella chronicles on the wii at my friends house but I personally don't care what race a zombie is. If they were real would you not shoot them based on race? Some people just like to make a big deal out of nothing.
They really need to work out the game bugs and problems. I would rather wait for a really good game then a bunch of crappy generic one released every year or sooner.

I also would be disappointed if SE didn't take the opportunity to fix the Compilation as they would already have most of what was needed for those games as far as character models and VAs and general graphic work done.
Which is why a lot of FF fans don't want there to be an actual remake of FF7 because people would act the same trowed it even if all they did to change it was to correct the translation so that it fit the actual tone of the story better. I fall into this grope as I would want them to do everything that they can that would be good for the game such as integrating the reasons why Sephiroth had to be sent to Nimbilhim instead of him getting that mission because ShinRa's made of idiots.
The big thing people don't seem to remember is that RE started off and drew a lot form a JRPG known as Sweet Home. The final product, as well as the series as a whole, was a spoof and homage to the horror genre no different then Shadows of the Damned. I've even read recently that the first game was a mockery of Lucio Fulci's Zombie which Mikami didn't like.
Also, I think a lot of the 13-2 hate comes form it being seen as the popular thing to do right now and not with the real problems with SE.
First off, that old school RE4 you showed was just a demo of a version of the game that got caned because Mikami thought it was boring. The people that are for it mostly don't actually realize how far it was away form the old school themes.
Second, survival horror isn't an actual genre which explains why games that should be considered part of it aren't and why the ones that are can tend to lack the key elements that define. Silent Hill is an example, every entire save two had item management.
mainstream games these days arent made by gamers or people with talent. they are made by companies that push unfinished games that will sell well based on their title. games emphasize graphics instead of gameplay.

RE6 main character should've been Rebecca Chambers. There could've been lots of character development. I also had several killer ideas to revive the "survival" aspect of RE and Rebecca would play a major role in that. But I don't have enough space to put my ideas in the comment.

Resident Evil 5 also had some minor cover elements as well, lets not forget. When you fought certain Majini armed with with guns, the game allowed you to take cover, and you only encountered these enemies maybe 1% of the time. Perhaps this is the same with RE6? In anycase, lets not jump to any conclusions until we have a chance to play it

Right now isn't looking good for twisted metal, especially when you need a day-1 patch for a demo. It almost makes me feel there will be a day-1 patch for the full game. They need to just slow down and stop trying to rush games out for a quick buck, then patch it later. That's not fair to the customers experience they paid for.

it wasn't resistance 2 co-op people missed everyone wanted resistance 2 to be like resistance fall of man a lot of people was disappointed in resistance 2 when it came out i was 1 of them insomniac said resistance 3 was going to be more like resistance fall of man it wasn't it was still more like resistance 2 also they droped the 40 player maps no clan system and to add to that they added the pass.resistance fall of man didn't have the best graphics but you couldn't fault the gameplay.

@EventStatus Yeah I agree, Capcom needs some serious PR help, but RE 6 does look great. I think you jumped the gun a bit by saying you don't care about whoever the character is before we know much about him, but it is understandable. After the let down MvC 3 was, and..... letting "Them" take over DMC, Capcom isn't on the best terms with me either. RE 4 was amazing, so i'll see what happens in a few months. Maybe, just maybe, they have some good left in them as a company.

@EventStatus I was excited to see that RE6 is going back to just normal zombies. I liked the RE4 & RE5 controls & such but obviously RE5 was a lot more action based, which I didn't mind, but you've gotta find that balance as you want to be scared. Also, RE5's enemies didn't have the depth that RE4's did. I hope that they bring co-op back.
There's more dislikes now, but its nothing new. The bigger the show gets, the more losers come out. You don't see me going to others channels for a year straight, and hitting the dislike button every time they make a video. Then those people wonder why they're ignored, not respected and called immature. But it's the internet, it takes all types I guess. It's like clockwork at this point.

@EventStatus I know the "situation" does look very good, but it doesn't capture the feeling of Resident Evil. The gameplay that you showed in the video was basically Silent Hill with Leon's face slapped on it. The Japanese name is "Biohazard" for a reason, and it should deal with viruses, infections, and BOWs in a sort of pseudo science fiction feel mixed with horror. Leon battling little dolls just doesn't seem right.
For atleast the FF13-2 DLC, it seems the Kefka and Sephiroth mentions was just from the writer, not actual details(hence the ? there), but I still see your point regardless in that this could simply pose laziness from not bothering with remaking the games if they include them and the others from the FF without remakes.
And I like that RE4 Special, It seems extremely scary and intuitive with the motion controls....
Actually EverDownload, that was my only problem with the RE4 'beta' it was far too close to Silent Hill. Yes, its scary as hell, I would like RE4 to be like that but it still really won't be a survival horror. It's more of a mindfuck since all of the enemies Leon faces in the beta was illusions from the virus he was infected with. And SH deals with mindfuck horrors, RE deals with survival horors. Same genre but different branches of it.

Wish to god gamers here in the U.S. got the Hookman build of RE4. I've heard Capcom say that the reason why they did away with it is due to how much it felt like Silent Hill or Fatal Frame, but this build was actual *horror:* holding the flashlight, building tension through fixed camera angles, suspense that didn't exist primarily on surprise scares...this should have been the next evolution of Resident Evil, but instead we got what we have here in the states even though it was great too.

@EventStatus The Option was also on the Console versions too you have to go to control settings and you can switch to first person view. Im hoping the screenshot indicates that you can switch between them otherwise im not gonna be too interested I liked the Socom style gameplay insted of COD gameplay.
Regarding the mod community creating the My Little Pony mod for Skyrim. If only DICE would release the mod tools for BF3. We all know a group of modders would make a Battlefront mod. I could only imaging how amazing it would be.

Event, the footage you showed from RE4 is actually one of the earlier versions created by Capcom in the beggining of the development process (it was shown in E3 I think). Unfortunately they threw it away and decided to go for the over the shoulder action feel. I have a feeling that they had put the movie that was shown on E3 on the japanese bonus disc, but not a playable version itself. Just thought you should know.
ACTA isn't really a bill, though. It's more or less a treaty, AND the government said that, even though they've signed it, they'll ignore any part they don't like.
I think the biggest problem here is that these companies want consumers to act in a particular way, and because they won't buy their overpriced shit you now have piracy. These companies want piracy to go away they need to stop ripping consumers off with DLC bullshit and overpriced shit games like Battlefield 3 or Dragon Age 2.

Boycotting companies sends a message, since they won't listen/communicate with the everyday person. And it won't matter about the economy, since they haven't tried to fix things already. No, it's not incorrect. It is not the beta that people have been saying or titling as of late. (some titled it RE 3.5) This was on the RE4 bonus disc yeas ago that was never released domestically, along with interviews and creator footage.

I honestly feel they didn't need to over do it like they did but hey. All i wanted for RE games was to add a little more mobility and ease up on the tank controls. For me it's more of combing both old and new school. The over the top action is a joke, but you're right, just give me enough tools to survive & I think that's where they went wrong. We went from a mysterious storyline, discovering underground labs in puzzle form. Now the story is so straight forward it's just not fun. I'm not saying we should go back to remembering passwords, but now that capcom has said this won't be survival horror, it's going to hurt them.

I had to call SWTOR to unsubscribe because 2/3 patches just did not work for me and most of my friends. I could never play the game. The customer service is terrible. They won't even give my money back for a game that doesn't work.
Its VERY hard not to laugh at Capcom at this point. Do they want to give up making games? Catering to the west means selling out your franchises. They should focus on creating new IPs.
@mattequalsone Whats to laugh at Capcom about? Outside of DmC, I think Capcom is trying to do different things with the RE franchise. So when i hear them say they want to compete with COD and such, I don't think it means they're gonna take the franchise and make it a FPS. Its nothing wrong with making a straightforward action game and the RE storyline has pretty much set it up that way since RE4.

Also, I think a lot of the 13-2 hate comes form it being seen as the popular thing to do right now and not with the real problems with SE.

First off, that old school RE4 you showed was just a demo of a version of the game that got caned because Mikami thought it was boring. The people that are for it mostly don't actually realize how far it was away form the old school themes.
Second, survival horror isn't an actual genre which explains why games that should be considered part of it aren't and why the ones that are can tend to lack the key elements that define. Silent Hill is an example, every entire save two had item management.

Resident Evil 5 also had some minor cover elements as well, lets not forget. When you fought certain Majini armed with with guns, the game allowed you to take cover, and you only encountered these enemies maybe 1% of the time. Perhaps this is the same with RE6? In anycase, lets not jump to any conclusions until we have a chance to play it

Right now isn't looking good for twisted metal, especially when you need a day-1 patch for a demo. It almost makes me feel there will be a day-1 patch for the full game. They need to just slow down and stop trying to rush games out for a quick buck, then patch it later. That's not fair to the customers experience they paid for.

it wasn't resistance 2 co-op people missed everyone wanted resistance 2 to be like resistance fall of man a lot of people was disappointed in resistance 2 when it came out i was 1 of them insomniac said resistance 3 was going to be more like resistance fall of man it wasn't it was still more like resistance 2 also they droped the 40 player maps no clan system and to add to that they added the pass.resistance fall of man didn't have the best graphics but you couldn't fault the gameplay.

I think you jumped the gun a bit by saying you don't care about whoever the character is before we know much about him, but it is understandable. After the let down MvC 3 was, and..... letting "Them" take over DMC, Capcom isn't on the best terms with me either. RE 4 was amazing, so i'll see what happens in a few months. Maybe, just maybe, they have some good left in them as a company.

@EventStatus I was excited to see that RE6 is going back to just normal zombies. I liked the RE4 & RE5 controls & such but obviously RE5 was a lot more action based, which I didn't mind, but you've gotta find that balance as you want to be scared. Also, RE5's enemies didn't have the depth that RE4's did. I hope that they bring co-op back.

@EventStatus I know the "situation" does look very good, but it doesn't capture the feeling of Resident Evil. The gameplay that you showed in the video was basically Silent Hill with Leon's face slapped on it. The Japanese name is "Biohazard" for a reason, and it should deal with viruses, infections, and BOWs in a sort of pseudo science fiction feel mixed with horror. Leon battling little dolls just doesn't seem right.

For atleast the FF13-2 DLC, it seems the Kefka and Sephiroth mentions was just from the writer, not actual details(hence the ? there), but I still see your point regardless in that this could simply pose laziness from not bothering with remaking the games if they include them and the others from the FF without remakes.
And I like that RE4 Special, It seems extremely scary and intuitive with the motion controls....

Actually EverDownload, that was my only problem with the RE4 'beta' it was far too close to Silent Hill. Yes, its scary as hell, I would like RE4 to be like that but it still really won't be a survival horror. It's more of a mindfuck since all of the enemies Leon faces in the beta was illusions from the virus he was infected with. And SH deals with mindfuck horrors, RE deals with survival horors. Same genre but different branches of it.

Wish to god gamers here in the U.S. got the Hookman build of RE4. I've heard Capcom say that the reason why they did away with it is due to how much it felt like Silent Hill or Fatal Frame, but this build was actual *horror:* holding the flashlight, building tension through fixed camera angles, suspense that didn't exist primarily on surprise scares...this should have been the next evolution of Resident Evil, but instead we got what we have here in the states even though it was great too.

Event, the footage you showed from RE4 is actually one of the earlier versions created by Capcom in the beggining of the development process (it was shown in E3 I think). Unfortunately they threw it away and decided to go for the over the shoulder action feel. I have a feeling that they had put the movie that was shown on E3 on the japanese bonus disc, but not a playable version itself. Just thought you should know.

I honestly feel they didn't need to over do it like they did but hey. All i wanted for RE games was to add a little more mobility and ease up on the tank controls. I dont feel tanky controls equal scary, i simply find it cumbersome.

Im not saying have Leon doing back flips and stuff just give me enough tools to feel like i can sensibly survive. The RE faithful are quite upset but sadly CAPCOM wants the dough and pleasing only the veteran crowd i feel wont bring in the revenue CAPCOM wants, its sad but true. I guess i want to know what your qualifications would be for a sound RE6 with revised new age mechanics.

For me it's more of combing both old and new school. The over the top action is a joke, but you're right, just give me enough tools to survive & I think that's where they went wrong. We went from a mysterious storyline, discovering underground labs in puzzle form. Now the story is so straight forward it's just not fun. I'm not saying we should go back to remembering passwords, but now that capcom has said this won't be survival horror, it's going to hurt them.

Yes, I'm sure there will have to be money cards are this point. But many are very reluctant of putting their credit card on there.

I had to call SWTOR to unsubscribe because 2/3 patches just did not work for me and most of my friends. I could never play the game. The customer service is terrible. They won't even give my money back for a game that doesn't work.

Its VERY hard not to laugh at Capcom at this point. Do they want to give up making games? Catering to the west means selling out your franchises. They should focus on creating new IPs.

@mattequalsone Whats to laugh at Capcom about? Outside of DmC, I think Capcom is trying to do different things with the RE franchise. So when i hear them say they want to compete with COD and such, I don't think it means they're gonna take the franchise and make it a FPS. Its nothing wrong with making a straightforward action game and the RE storyline has pretty much set it up that way since RE4.
