Note: Though no one saw the St. Louis tornado two photos do exist on youtube--one of the funnel approaching the airport and one of it exiting the airport. It is gigantic, very ragged and has all sorts of offshoots and is accompanied by the most awesome cloud phenomenon I have ever seen.
I went to Mizzou School of Journalism (1962, I'm ancient) and KOMU was super THEN. We were always amazed at the quality of work given its learning-by-doing situation. So I'm not at all surprised this is the equal of work being done at any television station elsewhere.

At 22:40 that is actually what is known as a Scud Tag. True it's in the area of concern but it is NOT a funnel cloud.
