I would have to disagree with building a mosque near ground zero. I am open to religious freedom and building any type of worship center/place, but I just feel that building near ground zero is a very touchy area. Once this mosque is built you might have those people who are upset and mad and destroy the building bu spray paint and breaking windows etc. Im just saying ground zero is a very scared place for Americans and that should be taken into consideration.

I would have to disagree with building a mosque near ground zero. I am open to religious freedom and building any type of worship center/place, but I just feel that building near ground zero is a very touchy area. Once this mosque is built you might have those people who are upset and mad and destroy the building bu spray paint and breaking windows etc. Im just saying ground zero is a very scared place for Americans and that should be taken into consideration.

It's anti freedom of speech & religion (no criticism of islam, all other religions oppressed), anti democracy (islamic rule must prevail over all), anti woman (2nd class, half the rights in court, forced to wear burka/hijab, forced to marry including prepubescent girls, genital mutilation, man can beat his 4 wives, HONOR KILLING), Jihad (violent spreading of islam) and martyrdom human blood sacrifice for pagan sex orgy afterlife.

Let's be honest, this "community center" will be seen as a 9/11 Victory Mosque in the Islamic world. It will be a signal that America is weak, and according to the Quran, if your enemy shows weakness, you are obligated to fight him even more. Granted, not all Muslims are radicals, but where and how do you think the radicals hide?

It doesn't matter if people oppose this, if they want to build it they can. We live in a free country, if you purchase property it is yours. If other people don't like what you're building, tfb, go somewhere else. I don't care what the Imam's reasons are for wanting to build it(I personally think they are very bad reasons). What are we going to do next say Muslims are not allowed to own the same make of plane that crashed into the buildings or live within 200 miles of ground zero?

Of course you have a right to protest it. It would however be illegal for the government to step in and not let them build it. It would go against that document called the constitution that protects the rights of minorities, including rights to property and religion. Oh and I would assume that that one god is the Christian God which presumably agrees with all the tenants of your particular brand of Christianity. And that probably was the one you were born into, how lucky for you.

Strawman-redherring, no one ever argued legality. 19 muslim hijackers murdered for "allah" and the promise of an endless virgin sex slaves afterlife. JIHAD is the issu! Muslims (fingers crossed) condem 9/11 or killing of innocent lives? NO!!! In Islam: Non-Muslims aren't innocent, their death/killing is not sin, of "little concern". Bin Laden didn't follow proper Jihad rules. They condem that not big terrorism against us. THEY THINK DIFFERENT! KILLING, DECEIT, HATE, LYING ARE OK IN ISLAM.

If USA was NOT founded by Jesus loving people but by Muslims, how do you think it would of turned out? Jews and Christians are NOT FLYING PLANES INTO BUILDINGS, nor did they attack USA 46 times, nor cause the 16,088 islamic terrorist attacks killing 100's of thousands world wide, just since 9/11.

I reject liberal secular ideology! Frauds, fakes like Dawkins claim we're soulless animals with fragile minds and God is all delusion. He calls this SCIENCE! (his degree's, liberal arts, philosophy, ethology, animal behavior). I picked up a Bible at age 24 between under grad (engineering) and grad school. That was 25 yrs ago. My wife is a M.D, and we see Jesus in his words, affect on our life, our kids and others.

Ooooh, you bring up Dawkins in this debate. He may be on your side in this one so be careful. I just read "The Selfish Gene" it was great. I wont get in an argument about evolution,of course there are plenty of great sources out there for that. And I have to go to work now, I wish I could argue longer, actually I wish I could talk face to face because I like this kind of discussion, and I try to keep an open mind and learn new things. @gmcjetpilot Muslims and atheists are both cut from the same cloth... and so are you: we all are humans, and are thus all member of the same species, and basically act the same. If you think that you are somehow imbued with a separate essence from everyone else because of what thoughts inhabit your head, then I have to say that you don't understand human nature in the slightest, and you should probably refrain from making any comments about such a thing until you educate yourself.
