@smile10115 you can use a plain old flashlight or you could buy one of those really skinny colored flash lights. you could use any type of camera as long as it has the exposure time for the shutter, but i recommend a digital camera. it works better. well, the first time will probably work out but you could try and try again. you can also be very creative with light painting. its very fun. (well i dont really know, it looks like fun) i'm trying to experiment on light painting myself.
gonna be doing light graffiti with a lightsaber soon. you can also aim your camera at a large empty wall and shoot a laser at it and get some pretty cool lettering or whatever you want going, cool thing is, it's really cheap to get those lasers with multiple tips now.
this is cool. i really want to learn how to do light graffiti. i know you need a tripod ( well atleast for the ones i'm trying to do ), of course lights. But what type of camera do you use. i already have a digital one , but i don't think it will work for it
@sredwine i have a canon sd780is. do you think it will work with that one? also, i dont know which one is the exposure time look likes on the camera. can you help?
i guess you take a Flashlight at night - take the illumination time of your cam to the longest time - and start drwing stuff with yoa flashlight into the air - havn't tried yet - but should work - sry if my English isn't da best - greetz from d'germany

any camera you can adjust the exposure time on is fine... less is always more... just see if you can make it happen with the tools you have

i also could be totally wrong

Norm8m said it all actually. Take the illumination about 20-20sec, dont stay too long at one spot with your flashlight.
A digital mirror reflex cam is pretty basic to do this.
