expertvillage I'm only a 5'8 black dude and I can dunk on 11 foot rims. Anybody can do it, just use the right training program. I used the one over at 50inch vertical[dot]com but any training program is fine if they work that is... lol

I watched a lot of these videos but no one is saying anything about what your aiming for. do you aim at the back of the rim,or the front ? do you aim just inside the rim or on top of the rim. You can teach anyone to put a backspin on the ball. that don't mean it's going to go in the basket. what you guys think ??

u usually aim inside the hoop. isnt it easier that way? backspin is used when ur shooting a 3 pointer and ur aiming for the backboard. the impact usually bounces the basketball away so players put back spin in it. but im not calling myself a pro so dont ask me anymore than this.

I teach the kids I train to aim, "right above the top of the front of the rim". I have what i call, "a good miss and a bad miss." Good misses miss at the front of the rim, bad misses are everywhere else. It teaches them to focus on accuracy. The shots will start to fall using proper shooting form. And a swish shot is "perfect!"

You aim where you feel comfortable, A backspin has nothing to do with swishing the basketball. When a shot is swish it means it is perfect or rather almost perfect. Now spin comes into play with garbage shots. When shooting you can be off the mark a little bit and stilll make shots.

please elaborate further on the proper release, especially the release point.. A lot of young people are releasing the ball to low, usually at eye level. The release point should be above the head so a guy 5'7 with his arms at full extension can release the shot at 6'0 or higher depending on his verticals. This also creates better balance on your shots as it builds momentum....

Try to use your 2nd finger and 3rd finger (ones which make the peace sign) to flick the ball and create backspin.

From experience you dont have enough time to do all that, sure the guy in the video did because hes demonstrating, but you're gonna tell me your gonna take 1:55 sec to take a jump shot. ha lol

all you need to do is shoot the way your most comfortable with but always make sure you balance your feet, keep your eyes on the basket, and follow through with the guiding hand. thats it done. SWOOSH!

alright i understand that having your hands in the right position makes a good shot. but how the fuck are you gonna make sure in a real game that your thumbs make a T every time its unrealistic. In a real game with lots momentum and you need to catch and shoot in a split second with a defender, you dont really have time to make a T wtih your thumbs. My advice is to follow the really basic form of it.
