My Garrys Mod crashes

To fix this u have to launch steam then go to library then left click on garrys mod and go 2 properties then select launch options and type dxlevel-80

same prob, HELPPPPPPPPP i have trf2,, so do i just install tf2 and gmod, cuase thats what i did, do i need to to something else, also i had to copy the "gameinfo.txt" file and paste a copy of it in the hl2 file from another file i found it in.

For all those idiots complaining about Vista, that wont be the problem! I used Gmod on Vista for about 2 or 3 years and i didnt have any real problems. Just a crash now and again because i did something on Gmod that seemed to piss of my PC im running Windows 7 now and it still does it..

Try "delete local files" on Garrysmod in steam, then going into Steam\steamapps\your name\ and deleting the garrysmod folder with everything in it. Then reinstall Gmod through steam.

Look man,open steam and go to My Games. Then go to properties and click lauch options. Then type -dxlevel 81 and it should work. Oh and there is a space between -dxlevel and 81.
