I like the music, but.... you capture the music video style too much that I can't even watch the visual. XD Still like the beat though and although I'm not too fond of the lyrics themselves, they are quite humorous because we know it's true~ lol
I always wonder how you found the clothes... I mean... o_o Where would you find clothes from back in the day?
I mean.. my grandmother keeps like EVERYTHING so all my mom's clothes from the 80's is still there in her house... XD I mean....that guy.. his shirt.....
@SugoiAsano Everything you see in the video actually came from Lucky Princess's personal collection :) We had a stylist and make up artist on staff for the video shoot, but she brought all her own clothes. I think Yode is wearing her clothes too.
@tomeurofire Yeah everything on my label Disko Warp is vaguely inspired by the Japanese eurobeat/hyper techno/happy hardcore scene... check out the rest of our stuff!
I thought this song was kind of cheezy ever since it came out but I keep listening to it on youtube, its kind of funny and addictive, I think I'm going to have to buy it.
Best word I think use to describe this music video is nostalgia. It reminds me of when I was a kid and would watch all those cheesy music vids on MTV. Keep up the great work but try not to be too cheesy from now on :)
@The43rdOnchan Knowing what I do about Mr. Pete Ellison, there will be FOREVER cheese. It's why we all love Disko Warp in the first place. It's a place where you get a nice sampling of some very good cheeses.
the "too long monologue" in the middle was my favorite part. i was wondering if it was ever going to end, but not in the bad way. awesome work on this tune guys!
Oh wowwww. Hahaha. This video is awesome. Its crazy 80s feel made me laugh really hard. Didn't know how I would feel about it at first, but I totally understand how she feels, and it makes me smile and shake my head in agreement. The live video was awesome, especially since I'm used to the animation of the Diskowarp releases. :)
im happy you changed it up with a live video! especially a spandex happy mullet rocking one!!! i agreeeo that gosha's animations are top notch but this fits the song sooo well. cheese factor is well over 9k >_<
I had a brick phone like that. I took it around to a bunch of phone stores asking if I could get a plan for it, but none of them looked like they even knew phones like that existed before.
Fairly young, born in '92, and I friggin' love this to pieces. No clue why the other young guys don't like this ^^ I guess my mum must have listened to this kind of stuff and watched a lot of it around when I was born.
Also, I just have to ask, did none of you who are dissing on the video watch music videos in the early '90s? I think this is a great throwback to that.
Well no kidding you guys like Gosha's animations better than this, he's a preposterously talented artist with years of experience. This was Disko Warp's first shot at a live video. If you go back and look at some of Gosha's earlier animation and then look at his newest, there's a noticeable quality difference because people improve over time. Give constructive criticism instead of saying you think it sucks. How can they improve if the fans don't help them know what's wrong?
@SirGregarious I think people are not getting that the "bad" styliing of the video is a purposeful aesthetic quality that we chose. The song, as well as the video, are an homage to 1989-1991-era acid house & techno music videos. Watch Technotronic's "Pump Up The Jam" and Stevie V's "Dirty Cash" and you will understand :)
Its dead awful dude, i am sorry but before you were amazing, but this looks so god awful. And the video editing is bad. Was is meant to be bad? I am sorry but its bad.
@DPmusicNsongs There's no reason we can't do both. There will be more animations from Gosha in the future I'm sure, but we want to do our own thing and we're heading in some new directions. Sit back and enjoy :)
Initially the song sounded simply too corny but a few replays more got me addicted. Great vocals and the 80's inspired music video fits the track perfectly!

I'm not a fan of the video for a few reasons.
First, this style of video was before my time (I'll never appreciate it like older listeners because I view the early 90s as a mess.)
Second, I find the green screening and effects to be a bit over the top. It feels cluttered with sharp changed.
Third, the effects and dancing don't appear in sync with the rhythm of the song (That might just be the style though).
Personally, I would like it more if there was more "flow" with the effects and music.
