Paul doesn't have the "in your face" political style John Lennon had, but he speaks and spreads peace. He's been behind the scenes on issues like saving the forests of South America, saving the seals, protecting endangered species,stopping the use of landmines so don't knock a man who speaks of peace and love. It's no small thing for him to speak of peace in places around the world as he has done in spite of threats. None of us are out there with signs doing peace rallies when we should be.

I think that John being so outspoken was partially due to his feeling threatened by Paul and how much people liked his more gentle approach to getting things done. John's "in your face" style probably got him some fans but lost him some too even though he was very talented also.
