Also a AK47 can be modified as a cheap sniper rifle, it's effective range is 400 METERs not 300 yards. Which is roughly 430 yards. Many snipers used them in Iraq.

The m16 is accurate and that's about the only thing it has going for it. The SCAR-H can fire 7.76s, which is what we need.

It's a total rip off of the SCAR. But that's not a bad thing, they say the finest form of flattery is imitation, and Magpul have combined the best parts of the SCAR (which is a fine weapon), with the M4 (another fine assault rifle) which is not necessarily a bad thing. I dont think it's that much of a rip off. The ACR has a free float barrel, the SCAR does not. The ACR can change barrels without any tools, the SCAR requires tools.

All firearms require maintenance periodically, for some reason you kids all seem to think you should be able to put 1000 rounds through any firearm and never once should have to think about cleaning it. In the Army, I used both the M16 & M4 Carbine, and not once did I ever have any problems with feeding, Jamming, overheating, sand, dust, etc. Clean your firearms boys, and you won't be bitching.
Now what about dark situation when it comes motoring rounds in the trench for 2weeks of non stop fighting in the dark night? Do you think a m16 or m4 got time to clean twice daily while in major conflict like that?

1) They moved the charging handle forward in order to not interfere with rear-mounted optics... yet they just moved it forward to where it will interfere with front rail-mounted accessories.
2) The cheekweld is a complete joke. Just like the Masada, it has barely any adjustability. You'd figure that would be one of their improvements, but it's not.

Also a AK47 can be modified as a cheap sniper rifle, it's effective range is 400 METERs not 300 yards. Which is roughly 430 yards. Many snipers used them in Iraq.

A Russian made AK in the hands of a good rifleman can shoot accuretly out to 400 meters. Most of the AKs in Iraq are just cheap AK clones from China or Iraq that can't hit shit past 50 meters used by guys who can't shoot for shit.

If an AK is made in any country besides Russia, it is NOT a genuine AK but an AK clone. AK47s are made in the Izmash arms factory in Russia. Maadi AKs are just worthless knockoffs made by the Eygptian government under license to the Russians. Don't post if you don't know what your talking about.

The SVD was not designed by Mikhal Kalashnikov. It was designed by Evgeny Fedorovich Dragunov in 1958. The weapons look similar but are different internally.

True, but it looks like the the SCAR is already being tested with Navy Seals (don't quote me). I think it's only a matter of time before the SCAR variants reach the army regulars.
The m16 is accurate and that's about the only thing it has going for it. The SCAR-H can fire 7.76s, which is what we need.

It's a total rip off of the SCAR. But that's not a bad thing, they say the finest form of flattery is imitation, and Magpul have combined the best parts of the SCAR (which is a fine weapon), with the M4 (another fine assault rifle) which is not necessarily a bad thing. However much of a rip-off it is :D

I dont think it's that much of a rip off. The ACR has a free float barrel, the SCAR does not. The ACR can change barrels without any tools, the SCAR requires tools.

Ugh ... it is not a "rip off". They are two different weapons. However assault rifle technology is definitely reaching it's peak so it is unavoidable in this day and age for two different rifles to have similar components (i.e. gas system, polymer furniture, etc).

All firearms require maintenance periodically, for some reason you kids all seem to think you should be able to put 1000 rounds through any firearm and never once should have to think about cleaning it. In the Army, I used both the M16 & M4 Carbine, and not once did I ever have any problems with feeding, Jamming, overheating, sand, dust, etc. Clean your firearms boys, and you won't be bitching.

i have had a box of 7.62x39 full metal jacket AK 47 bullets in my closet for 10 years with a loaded gun next to them and they haven't killed anyone, however if you break into my house and expect to harm me or my family...... it would be real bad for your health :) hehehe. Police average 3-9 minutes arival time to any 911 call for help, so I will just ask the reasonable killer to hold on till they get there, should be ok with them right?

1) They moved the charging handle forward in order to not interfere with rear-mounted optics... yet they just moved it forward to where it will interfere with front rail-mounted accessories.
2) The cheekweld is a complete joke. Just like the Masada, it has barely any adjustability. You'd figure that would be one of their improvements, but it's not.
3)Knowing Bushmaster, the new ACR will probably be stuck with 1:9 rifling for civilian models.
