I saw your friend's video as well and I must give you both a pat on the back for being so brave in making your videos. I was just diagonosed and all I'm doing is crying. So bravo for you two!
i know what your going through , i've had pcos since i was 20 yrs . i went trough alot with my period. i went through alot of different birth controls until i got the mirena which controlled my periods and i do check ups every year because i had a cyst before and i had to get another doctor who was more understanding
I have PCOS as well. I was diagnosed a long time ago, but was never well informed by doctors about anything. It has been through my own research that I am just beginning to understand this issue. Have you been checked for insulin resistance? PCOS and insulin resistance often go hand and hand. I just got Dr. Cousens book for curing diabetes. I truly think low glycemic, raw is the way to go with our conditions. I am looking for a support group of ladies dealing with this issue. Much love!
I have PCOS. I've gotten all sorts of tests, and the thing is - you can still have PCOS without having any feedback from an ultrasound. It's not something that is defined by a test, it's more like you have most of the symptoms - you have it. If that makes sense? I hope it does. LOL
you should check out the PH Miracle Living book --- it's all about being Alkaline over being acidic.... and getting your body to be alkaline elimates disease, fat, reverses diabetes, etc.... it's all about really getting good quality greens in your system. :)
check out Dr. Gabriel Cousins book, "A Cure for Diabetes"... its the raw diet that Dave the Raw Trucker has been on to lose 230 lbs, cure his diabetes and getting off all of his meds and so much more. Its fascinating!
I have PCOS too, and I second the natural progesterone cream recommendation. I like Pro-Gest, the non-paraben formulation. I was able to ovulate after a npc shutdown (I don't usually ovulate)
@Metaphysicalman3 Yes that's my plan for 2010 fasting, juicing and green smoothies exclusively. I am determined NOT to have surgery or any crazy "treatments"
I was diagnosed at 19 and am now 33. When I was dx the dr didn't really tell me anything other than fertility issues. Over the past 5 yrs things have gotten worse health-wise, which are all attributed to PCOS. What meds did they put you on? I've been on Met for a few yrs now but it never helped me to lose weight.
Tks for sharing. I'm always interested in finding more details on managing PCOS.
how old are you? can't believe the doctor said that about your eggs! You don't look that old so I would be interested.... I am trying to get pregnant at the moment and it scares me that my eggs are past their best!
I do have PCOS, but i had it before i got my daughter ( she is miracle ). I am still struggling with my weight and i have tried, i think, everything! So, i am waiting for your new videos to hear something new and try it! Be well and take care.
Hey I'm so sorry to hear that you have PCOS! I have a friend with pcos and i've heard alot about how herbs can help with that. Also, i've read about spearmint tea helping. So if you would like to google some of that maybe it can help? I wish you luck and look forward to your new videos! : )
hang in there... I was diagnosed in july with PCOS and am still trying to figure it all out... but there are tonns of us out there and lots of support!
I haven't been able to get pregnant and was labelled as having ovarian cysts and have actually had ovarian cancer, which I cured by fasting for 17 days on water. I AM FOUR MONTHS PREGNANT! Is it a miracle? Yes! But really it's because I have been using natural progesterone cream. PCOS is because you are estrogen dominant. Google "Dr.Lee Progesterone". Believe me it will help! It has totally helped me!!!
Hang in there, You can do it, I wish I can help but I am on my own journy being raw to cure Rhematoid arthrirtis and I have a growth in my uterus..a large one...yeah, but i have realized by being vegan raw, the bleeding has slowed down and the pain has lessen on both diseases, but it takes time, and persistence. (sometimes a hard thing to do, more greens less sweets and fats, hope I said something to help :)
I live on Atkins..... and I like you have dealth with so many PCOS symptoms forever. Things have improved over the last year and a half. I am 80 pounds down, heathier, happier, and *things* have improved!!
I cant believe you have PCOS, i've been watching you since like forever and i have PCOS although i havent been officially diagnosed, my doctor said that i probably have it. I basically have all of the symptoms! I've even had cyst on my ovaries(they have gone away for now) There are 2 FANTASTIC websites with great information SoulCysters & Fitcysters! Please do more videos on your PCOS and your raw food eating.
DON'T DO THE MEDICATION! i will send you a link to what i've learned i've been dealing with this for 3 years, i'll send you a link to an article i'm writing when i'm finished... the med's will mess up your liver function which is vital to everything that's going on with you.. it is the basis for breaking down hormones...
med's are not the answer, in fact they will cause more endocrine disruption... i hope you'll go off of it..
use cinnamon tincture by gaia herbs to stop the bleeding..
I am going to see about getting tested... in your research have you found this runs in the family? I know it was hard for my mother to get pregnant and she even had large cysts removed... all the symptoms (excluding the long bleeding) fits me. She is now diabetic and I feel I am down that road as well. I have EDNOS and can only lose weight when I stay away from carbs. My mother also has Fybromyalgia... Im sure I have that as well. Thank you so much and I look forward to more posts about this!!
I have many of the symptoms of PCOS but as yet still not definitely diagnosed.(idiopathic i think they call it) My hormones are totally out of wack. The weight issues suck big time. But being informed and educated is definitely a key to personal power in overcoming challenges, as you well know. are you on metformin?
Second... I'm so glad you are back!!! My life had been so strange lately and there is so much going on, that i keep delaying making a video about it:) But you do inspire me to do so again. Love Pien
Hey sweetie!! I am so glad you are back! And ofcourse, first of all, i want to say how sorry i am to hear all this. You deserve a happy and healthy life! You have such a good heart and even though i know that what i say won't make up for it, believe me, i will pray for you and light a candle. Hopefully you will feel better soon. Thank God you have you're daughter and husband. I know they mean the world to you!
Check out RawRadiantHealth's videos about PCOS if you haven't already. She reversed hers with a raw food diet and I believe she hasn't had any issues with it since. She has lots of informative videos and and could be a great resource for this if you email her I think. Good luck with this! I do believe that we create our own reality and if you want to heal your body I know you can do it and there are LOTS of things out there that can help, not just raw, I'm sure of it! Health is our birthright!
Yep Yep I am subscribe to her and it was a real comfort when I found here! And yes I have alot of research to do and I will keep you updated thanks you so much for watching !!
I have been diagnosed for 3 years now :) you can get pregnant, I took clomid for a month cause I wasn't ovulating :) then wammo I'm 8 weeks pregnant!! I'm looking forward to your new journey!!
thx for recordin this video and speaking so sincere n open with us. I definitely have to make one real update again too but i might have to get the same cam as u...its great. Women shud always have a regular gynacologist check...i never really go coz im scared of stuff like that but its jus the most logical thing to do. love you, wish u jus the best, kat
I am dealing with female issues also. Using nutrition and herbals for treatment, although there has been improvement, I am at an age that a hysterectomy is looking great and by the time the physical healing comes (to reverse the huge fibroids) I will probly have menopause...so why not just fix it now with a hyst?...Thats what Im doing.
Good That you are researching and learning on your own. Keep looking into raw vegan, thats what I am doing and why im on YT.
thank you for being open about this. i was diagnosed PCOS when i was 13. i have even been to the ER for severe cramping and bleeding, and i always pray that one day i can get pregnant. it really affects my weight and mood and hair (falls out) but i am glad to see i am not alone. i know everyone finds it hard to believe i actually do fast or have a true ed, which i do, but it's because pcos makes me go up and down all the time. take care and im glad youre getting help for it.
Looking forward to your 2010 project(s). Sorry about the pcos diagnosis but I know you're gonna overcome this through nutrition. ((hugs)) and kisses...Paula
5-10% of women have PCOS - it's very common. I have it too! It's crap, but only a bit crap.

It's weird to see that people on youtube are talking about this, I've never meet/heard of anyone else that has PCOS besides me,
I found out about 3 years ago when I was 13, it's been pretty hard dealing with all the effects it can have on the body.
Watching this helps ;) thanks.

The Simply Raw video doesn't detail the diet that the six American diabetics were put on. It's a really uplifting documentary though.

If you juiced raw greens and ate fruits and didn't eat anything else for one year... you most likely would terminate what ever ails you!
YES... even a tumor.

Troubles like you listed lead to me having surgery at age 11 and then again at 19 as well as a horrible list of fertility issues.
