i palyed this alot when i was 5-6 y/o. one time the robot took 100 hits to kill. i think i was bugged at some points. hes the only boss that makes a sound before he dies.

@magnustabell 1 bar gives you 5 stamina let's say. if you take a hit for in between 2-4 stamina you won't lose a bar. it's similar to double dragon. does that make sense? there's no cheating fyi.
