did it occur to anyone that all you really need to do is copy the thunderbird source code (which is open anyways) and then add a function to change the theme? it's not like they had to rewrite the whole email client...
@martylakewood It sounds like you are knocking this guys work. Unless you know him personally or have something else against him you don't like i dunno why would you write such a comment.
If this is done in java, the coding structure would be entirely different from what Thunderbird is made in which looks like c++ from a quick look at the source code. Wouldn't be so easy to copy the code with out some good refactoring.
I gather this is a Java application written in Swing. Beautiful work, i love the way the program displays passport photos of each author. I thought Outlook was the nicest e-mail software until now. Equally I was impressed by the quality of quoted text shown using different colours, beautiful and thoughtful. And i love the coloured buttons to quickly 'jump-out' of that level. I loved the shadow under the "cursor-carrying-document" cursor shape. Thanks for showing me. Great work. Keep it up :)
You should look at Romain Guy's website (the developer). He has many demo apps with source code. If your java knowledge is good, you can look at the source and figure things out and build your own apps.
where to download this L&F? thanks

Thanks for your reply !
Yeah - I googled yesterday and I got to the page
you mentioned. There is even an explanation how it was
done (on some slides). Anyway - it's a piece of great job !
Cheers,
Adrian
