when i clean the plugs on my engines i use a wire brush on them, it works great and to improve the life of the plug, get a lead pensil and try to scrape a little of the lead between on the electrode :D it usualy guarentees my engines will start first time
dude you can make it easier on yourself when cleaning your spark plug,just dip the plug in some petrol and take a old grill brush and scrub it it works great and the plug works like new and the whole plug is cleaned of grime.there is no need for sand paper it just widens the spark plug gap.
