  • Turbo kit? It came stock turbo. Type R won, a little less power but they have crazy close gears. Gears are torque multipliers. I'm a Nissan man but Honda made the ITR go no doubt. Dollar for dollar though the SR would slaughter it though. 2 grand in silvia, 300+whp, 2 grand ITR, 200ish whp. Good vid though

  • Wow, stock for stock the type-r is faster.. Put $3000 into the Type-R and $3000 into the s14. The Integra will be hitting 200whp with an upgraded valve train and full exhaust while the Silvia is at about 325whp with an intake, intercooler upgrade, boost controller, fuel pump, tuning and downpipe/exhaust!

  • @cxbra u can boost a type r too. if u want to throw mods then y dont u make them equal. boost itr vs boost s14.

  • Hondas can haul ass, so credit is due, but I don't think the driver of the s 14 was driving within his powerband that well, probably used to modded examples. How about you guys quit being keyboard warriors and enjoy the vid. and to Honda fans, how can you base your theory that hondas are better than nissans on one video? when I last checked and sr20 is easier and cheaper to milk power from than a B18C.

  • @delfartel an untouched s14 wouldnt be any quicker that that but who drives a completely stock s14 anyway. The advantage goes to the 200 if you do a few simple mods it'll run low 13s. The gains on any aspirated engine are relatively small in comparison to a turbo engine...

  • @comeththemoment Take the restrictors out of the boost piping, takes 5 mins, costs 0 gain 3 - 4 psi boost in all gears, then a decat pipe, gain full boost around 300 - 400 rpm quicker and another psi or so of boost, thats a good 30 HP

    Power to weight? The Silvia is around 1250, or 1300KG isn't it? An ITR, depending on age, type can be as low as 1060KG. There's only 20bhp between the 2. The ITR also has better gear ratio's for the drag race.

    14 seconds is very good for a DC2 1/4 mile if it's stock.

  • @freeweekday Ks is the manual version and Qs is the automatic version. I'm sure the S15 will beat the integra. Buy the S15 Spec R and it will definately win. Heck my brother took me for drive in his 200sx/ S14 turbo VVT and it reached over 270km and it wasn't even struggling. 100kms made it felt like it was going 50km. Bloody quick.

  • Yes if you do that it would be different results but the Silvia has a bigger engine that is turbo... The ITR is 1.8 N/A and not stripped. That's just how it is. 197hp to a 1.8 N/A car is good. But I would rather get the civic type RR Mugen that is a 260hp K20 N/A now that's something.

    ITR 4.73? final drive.

    And honda designe it to stay in the vtec range for "that infamous third gear pull."

    Not making excuses, but turn off the limiters(not hard and free to do), and race it to the top speed :)

    s14 weighs at 2762lbs. that would tend to give the ITR an edge.
