Flew against this challenge the other day. Ended up out running and doing it quicker. I prefer joystick, as the constant input allows for a much smoother turn compared to the slide and lift of a mouse.Wouldn't mind flying with you sometime.

@MurderDeathKill01, not to be Mr. Buzz Killington, but if you're using ACE, the speeds of the MH6 were changed awhile back. This scenario was made on the old version of the MH6s with lower top speeds. This also coincides with the version of the M/AH6 that ShackTac actually uses. Comparing any flights in the new ACE MH-6 with the old one are thus kind of pointless.

@Dslyecxi Yes, I was aware of this when I saw this scenario came out. At the time I hadn't been updating ACE because I didn't see the need to. I wasn't part of any clan, and I wasn't playing online at all. So yeah, I remember how slow the littlebird was. Was a tad tougher keeping up back then :3. Rumor is you're one of, if not 'the' best pilot in the ArmA community. So my hat goes off to you. I'm a very enthusiastic pilot in this game as well.

Great video - nice flying. :) As a BIS nut myself could you share your videocard model with me? Got gtx275 atm but will buy the 580 or 5970 (ati) and your videos looks super smooth so that should be a good indicator on what i should buy. Got i7 930 and fast RAM as well. Also buying SSD together with the videocard now. Hope that will let me run at 1920x1080 in vegetation without too much slowdown. :) Cheers.

@Dslyecxi Really? Seriously? My Saitek X52Pro joystick is more sensitive moving to the left than to the right. There's a little lag there in the connections. So correcting to the left always overcorrects in Arma2, so I correct right and end up sesawing when doing careful hovering.

Impressive, but I guess ultra-realism kind of went out the window. Maybe it's just the perspective from the cockpit, but it looked like several times you would have clipped trees or light poles and go BOOM. Near the end there too when whoever you were chasing turns on a dime next to the building (1:55 or so).

Is ArmA II more accessible than the original?

@IndigoAK200, if I had clipped anything, the help would have exploded. I've been flying these helos for many years now, since OFP, it's simply the kind of flying that comes from much practice. As to A2's accessibility, there's a demo you could try out.

@IWannabeJew, I was using TIR, it's very subtle in such a scenario (as compared to the lead pilot which was using it more noticeably).

Does ArmA 2 not allow that kind of movement, because I thought it made the cockpits look MUCH MORE 3-D?

Nice flying! I guess you didn't have a separate throttle and Joystick, like the Saitek X52? Could have been to slow in reactions in regards of changing thrust. Did you use a joystick with throttle leveler?
