  • those 11 or need attention, or have a stupid reason to not like picasso.

  • Let us not forget America is a MELTING pot or culture. We make due for all man kind here. Don't like it? Then move back to your home land. We don't cater to ONE kind. Oh, and the Flag stands for Democracy. We like to spread that ALL are equal and will Die for it

  • @vaporizer

to call Picasso a fraud is simply absurd. he is probably the most influential artist of all time. just because he turned out so many pieces simply shows how productive he was.

  • picasso was a con-artist or fraudsters of the highest order. He painted 300 thousand painting, like 10-15 paintings a day, while classical painters like waterhouse painted 600 paintings in his entire life. This fact only shows that this man was a crap and some idiots here still believe that he was the greatest thing on earth ever lived. His paintings are in reality worth only as much as the price of the canvas.BTW Tracey Emin sold her urine soaked bed for over 100 thousand $.Nice modern art,eh?

  • would you like to buy a canary? I have three left.

  • @vaporizer08 - congratulations on understanding that liking art is a subjective matter. Unfortunately, you lose points by assuming that 'prolific' = poor. JMW Turner was not only the greatest landscape artist of all time. He revolutionised water colour and oil painting and was the precursor of impressionism. He was unquestionably a genius and, guess what, he was PROLIFIC, 550 oil paintings, over 2,000 highly detailed and finely finished watercolours, and some 30,000 works on paper.

  • @vaporizer08 - incidentally, get your numbers right, Picasso was indeed PROLIFIC, he produced up to 50.000 works during his career, in different media, but not the ludicrous number you suggest. Nor of course was he just a painter, he was also a sculptor and a ceramicist. Your asinine remark that 'paintings are in reality worth only as much as the price of the canvas', demonstrates admirably that you have no understanding whatsoever of the appreciation of art.

  • when was this interview?

  • pablo picasso never got called an asshole

  • Well, believe it or not, but in my opinion, they make better films than Hollywood TODAY, not in the past, but TODAY. My point is that Hollywood is no longer the movie industry that was 10 years ago.

  • I agree. Hollywood just relies on special effects & big soundtracks, these days.

  • Where is Picasso, Gabron americano?

  • if you read the info it says this is an artist who met him.

  • Where is Picasso? ¬¬

  • peace to likeable Americans lol

  • @bigassballsyes .....assssss

  • America Haters! We are hard wokring, and honest nation overall. We struggled, fought, left behind our old countries to make a better life. For two centuries Europe and Latin Americans of upper/mid class have always hated their "countrymen" for leaving and felt shameful of us. But we Americans have always triumph and made USA the greatest nation on earth :)

  • USA is the worst thing I ever known

  • Very well ~ & succinctly stated yis2.

That said- one must wonder WHY this man telling a story of his own personal experience here on earth- has turned into an Anti-America/Defend America debate.

This is THIS man's story- and we should all let him tell it, and be grateful- as none of us will ever meet Picasso and have a story about the meeting to tell.:)

  • PUHLEASE!!!

  • "culture worth while" -now there is your insight & intellect-worthless

  • I shouldn't be too proud if I were you.Picasso's daughter was named Maya not Mia no matter how often you say it. Sadly Picasso often praised other's work as a tactlessly surreptitious blague especially if they minced and scraped their way to an audience. And here the poor clod boasts. This poor fellow has no clothes; only he doesn't get it.

  • Wow what language!

  • i'd also say that if picasso hated americans, he's not worth anyone's time. art in the spirit of hate will ultimately fail.

  • Dont get exited idiot. Pablo PIcasso hated americans! THATS A FACT, he never wanted to go to USA, because americans only think on money all the time and have a 3rd world class culture! So dont get exited FUCKING OLD GUY

  • the history of american music and art is an incredibally humbling experience. the american experience is unlike anything else and if you took the time to look into the struggles most of the people who came to this country had, i don't think you would feel so comfortable making statements like that.

just because something does not fit the euro-centric, white model of culture does not mean it's not great culture.

  • well, probably in music more less, but in terms of architecture, history, identity, native americans culture and mixture with anglos, art, and religion. I believe that USA is not an interest country for artist. Only for investors and for immigrants! Today we can see that Hollywood is a shit compared 40 years ago. WHY, because Europeans, Mexicans, and Asians, are making fucking good movies with a globalized vision. See american movies, always the fucking flag all over the place!!!WHY????

  • lol always the flag all over the place? what does that mean. is that symbolic of somehting or do u mean u see that american flags in every american movie? lol

  • @rictit

so DAMN FUCKING TRUE. I'm tired of seeing their fuckin flag!! Every new movie is more redneck than the previous one! Please can I spent ONE day without seeing IT?!

  • @plumgreen , Yes, I agree somewhat. USA does have a beautiful unique culture. Lifestyle and cities are unique. But you have to realize you live in the new world. Spain's culture and history is among the richest and most engaging of any European country. Nowhere else will you find the Iberian, Greek, Roman, Visigoth, Celtic, Jewish, Arab clash of culures in one same country. the city of Cadiz is oldest city in Europe. maybe in 3000 years you can compare USA with Spain's culture.

  • Oh please, I hate American foreign policy, economical ethics, cultural imperialism, uber-patriotism, hyper-nationalism etc etc as much as the next level headed person, but dont go being an idiot by generalising. Every American person I've met in person has been kind, nice and level headed.

  • I too hate all those things and am in fact a "kind, nice and level headed" American. There are many of us.

  • te apoyo amigo..

  • very cool.

  • i do

  • i dont

  • I do

  • who gives a fuck

  • I do.

  • I DO give a fuck about any form of true art...

  • you do give a fuck, wow!,lol.

  • we all do!

  • I do ):

    lol pwnt

  • you lose. go home.
