I'm pretty sure you don't have to use napalms if your character has a red psypher.
Although I haven't played in a while I believe that the red psyphers can kill slimes, it is the blues one that have trouble.

Oswald's shadow form can definitely do a one-hit KO on the slimes. You don't even need napalms.
