Good to see this, too bad about the whole michael anthony thing. But then again they sound incredible. And no offence, it wasn't the greatest bass player in the world. And to have someone younger in the band keeps the rest younger too. It really looks like they have reinvented van halen. Some powerfull stuff here.

I think DLR coulda made it big if he would stuck with his band back after he left VH.  He had the great Steve Vai on guitar, and it seemed he found his niche with them. I am surprised they only released like 1 or 2 albums with that lineup. Glad he's back in VH. Everything went full circle.

The Van Halen's are half Asian. Their mom is Javanese which is Indonesian. I found this interesting because Valerie Bertinelli also looks ethnic, or interracial.

How many of YOU are STILL partying like never before at this day and age? Maybe that's why they have lost a little bit of their luster. Yet the music when it was written speaks for itself. Yes Mikey was a big part of VH but Wolfie has proven to everyone that a 16 year old kid can replace someone as good as Mikey, I think Wolfie should stay...permently

If it was'nt for Wolfie than this would never have happened. PERIOD! Mike chose to play with Sammy, never wanted and liked playing with Dave, end of story. VH are alive because of Wolfie and Diamond Dave, be greatful that a true rock n roll band are still at their peak. With regards to that Charone era and 2004 reunion, lets keep that quite!!

There is something MISSING big time without MA.

Wish EVH would WAKE UP and get Mike back...he wants to play with VH...including Dave, btw!

Nostagia is a selfish thing if you think about it. We all try to re-live moments of our past and demand those who were a part of it to jump through hoops on demand. VH are human beings with lives and their own past to sort through. Wolfie's presence seems to cancel out the group's intense past squabbling, creating a new beginning for aging rockers who sense their mortality and search for motivation to go on.

I miss MA too and it's sad that it has to come to this for DLR and EVH to reunite. MA is a martyr in my opinion. Bittersweet, this whole thing. But when I close my eyes, it's really good to hear AVH, EVH, and DLR together again. New material with Wolfie would be interesting b/c Wolfie would add this contemporary spin -- btw, he's talented.
