i love the golden compass! the first time i saw it i said that mrs.Coulter had major mothering issues, but then i saw it again and relived that the separation between them wasnt her fault and i felt bad for her and kind of understand the way she acted with lyra/

No it's when the Aruora opens up and Mrs.Coulter is asking telling Lyra to comer her but she says "I'm not yours, i'll never be yours!"
