Some universities I know of require service hours and things for their honors students - unfortunately, they only make Freshman do it, so it's a "do your first year duty" and coast rather than setting life patterns of engagement. It's too bad.

Actually, NYU's logo is a torch, but I agree with you on what it SHOULD be. You're talking to a former student ousted because of NYU's crappy financial aid and lack of dedication to students. [I still think Kimmel's a nice building :P]

For all the political rightiousness /political correctness of those Nyu students they don't realize that thousands of Black,Hispanic and poor Whites where snatched up by cops and put in prisons Or evicted so, their little asses could be safe.I grew up downtown and was Pushed out like many others My old hangouts like paladium,Gas station and Cbgbs where taken from me like many other insatutions in that area and turned into Nyu buildings
