PS to my previous reaction: if you look at the time frame of 0:55 sec. of the commercial, you can read: "Laat je 2e hands kleding de 3e wereld helpen." That's Dutch for "Let your second hand clothes help the third (read: poor people's) world" Hope you've got you answer now :-)
please get informed about the effects of this so called "help" - the african textile industrie suffers from this imports - people loose their job etc. imagine what it would mean for holland if some nation would give away vegetables for free. africa has no fashion problem and no one is freezing there - there is a lack of justice and not a lack of clothing
you see the clothing in the clip do things as teaching children, nursing babies and building waterpumps. in other words you see what actually is the meaning of the clip. ''Because of your clothing these things can be done.'' sure some people like you might want a clip with hot girls getting naked and lots of violence, sex, drugs and in the end the message ''Oh yeah btw give money so we can pimp africa ;D!'' but the commercial is there to inform people in a fresh new way and not to AMUSE you
yeah, you really got my point amelie - but you better get informed about the organisations you defend...and maybe ask some africans about the idea of "pimping up africa", too.
Dear Ondiras, in Holland we do not give clothes to poor people... We collect them as second hand clothing and resell them at low prices in Holland for those howm don't have a lot of money to spent on clothes. With the money raised by reselling the clothes, we can buy food and other nessecity's for the poor people in Africa! I Thought I'd let you know :-)

i think you should get involved,
most of that clothing is NOT shipped to africa.
it's been sold AGAIN in secondhand clothing stores and the money of it is used for clean drinkwater, schooling kids and other stuff in africa.
