The sad part about this is, I didn't catch onto the fact that Akira Toriyama was this game's artist until I saw the super high tension state of the hero of this game. I was like "OMG HE LOOKS JUST LIKE A SUPER SAIYAN, COPYRIGHT INFRINGEMENT", but then I looked it up and saw Akira does the art for it lol.

It's a cheat. Only way to get a character to 100 tension in 1 round is to phyche up and have two characters use a timbrel of tension and the hero use highly strung cheese.

@WhoFartedInHere34 BZZZZT wrong you can use THREE not two THREE timbrel of tension and have the hero use phyche OR have everyone use 1 so EVERYONE has high tension (you can make them after visiting the bazaar and after bazaar go into the church and buy the brawnys)

and btw.

if you use tension while fighting a TEAM monster its a 5% chance you will instantly go into high tension

I could never get into games where the fighting style is like this eg Final Fantasy, Golden Sun. I much prefer Zelda's fighting style. However if I understood the fights more maybe I'd get into it. Could someone please explain? That demon that the characters are fighting doesn't have a health bar or anything above him so seeing him get hit 226 doesn't mean anything to me. I love the rest of the games but at the moment hate the fighting. If someone could please please explain

Are you actually asking for an explanation on what the numbers indicating damage represent? Do you realize that a health bar is simply a graphical way of representing numbers (in this case, HP)?

Maybe you should stick to watching videos of something simpler, like Pong, or paint drying. This whole RPG thing is obviously something you grasp about as well as a quadruple amputee can grasp a toothbrush.

With some games you learn how many hits it takes eg with Zelda bosses it usually takes a sequence of 3 different attacks before you've beaten the boss. So what you're telling me is that you never know how strong your enemy is? so seeing your attacks hit 20, 200, 2000 doesn't really mean anything because you don't know your enemies hp? You just have to live in hope?

You're obviously a bit slow at grasping very very simple things if you didn't get my explanation. I'd explain how RPGs are generally designed in such a way that you can learn to predict enemy HP, along with usually getting skills that let you see enemy HP, but this is the sort of thing that if you have to explain it, it won't be understood by the person you're explaining it to anyways.

Go back to Halo, or Madden, or whatever the heck doesn't tax your brain cell.

Since this video game from gamepsot.com I would imagine it was a demo they were given from Square-Enix to promote the game. It probably had changed features to show super-high tension and Monster Teams, Monsters on the field etc to get people interested in the game.

One thing you can spot is Super-High Tension wasn't working the way we know it to. Gigaslash with Oomph only doing 678 damage? Yeah, don't think so. So legit video, just demo version.

Wanna do a fuckton of damage? Well then psyche up your stongest offensive character until he reaches 100tension, while you're waiting for him to reach 100tension, keep using sap on the enemy to lower defence. then once youve sapped the enemy and are at 100tension, use the oomph spell (doubles attack power), then pick an ability that does more then a normal attack and obliterate.

It is completely impossible to reach super high tension in one psyche up and there is only one blue slime monster team member and Dragovian King Sword is the strongest weapon for the hero. it is made by combining Dragovian sword with Metal King Spear.
